Personally I think everyone in that clubhouse needs to STFU and work at making themselves better. RGIII doesn't help himself with those comments especially in an atmosphere that's already been poisoned due to failing expectations. RGIII may not have been throwing his teammates under the bus but it comes across that way because he exhibits a "me me me" kind of attitude ever since he came into the NFL. In fact, it's that attitude that was one of the red flags when he was drafted so you can't say this was totally unexpected.

Well that "attitude" has been toned down quite a bit over the past two seasons.

Oh I know, it's just that the media types who have a long memory will always bring it up. The only way these things will be forgotten is if the team starts winning.

Well that won't be happening until they start from scratch on special teams, improve the O-Line, and drastically improve the secondary and defensive schemes.

Amazing how if Peyton Manning said that exact thing he said in that presser, not a peep would be uttered from the media about it. I'm trying to see what he said that was wrong or knife in the back worthy and I'm finding nothing at all. This is an example of two things. Only Brady and Manning can get away with saying stuff like that and not taking criticism from the media for it and when you aren't one of those two guys, when you're losing, EVERYTHING is an issue.

The media is going to twist and construe his words to fit the narrative of the Redskins season. Same for Jackson.

What I'm getting from reading the full comments is that they all need to play together and better to get where they want to be.

Isn't that something a player on a 3-7 team should say? Besides nothing at all, I'd want them to own up to their play. RG3 hasn't done much yet, so I kind of doubt he's propping himself up. I think the media or whomever is just cherry picking easy targets.
You can find the video, don't just go by what's written if you're trying to read between the lines. Honestly there's even more to it than that. There were players who had an issue with him getting his job back instead of Colt continuing to start. The locker room divide was addressed (properly) by DJax. His statements definitely have a bit of that in them. And if you really want to know if it's just a media overreaction (something I'm always quick to say but not in this case) listen to Gruden's response... held no punches there. I don't have time to find a link right now but, in short, he said "Robert needs to worry about himself and what he needs to do better, it's my job to worry about everybody else."

If either Brady or Manning said things that RG3 says after playing less than 2 full seasons in the NFL and on a 3-7 team, you can bet your *** everyone would be all over them too.

Since you did say "when you're losing" I'll add, if their team came off a 3 win season and was currently 3-7 even today if they said something like that the media would be all over them too.

Bradtxmale, you're probably a good dude and don't mean any harm when you post some of the things you say on here...but please don't PM me the Packers' current playoff status and who'd they would be playing if the season ended today.

And as for RG's comments, I've said it before and I'll say it again: It's always something with him and to a lesser extent, the team.

Well, everybody was fine with him talking when the team was winning and heading for the playoffs. I don't expect the kid to shut up simply because the team is a horrid pile of ****. We all know the fans of this team aren't happy unless there's drama involved because winning comes so damn rarely. We all know what happened to the Cousins chants when he finally got his chance.

That's why I always laugh when the fans/Snyder talk about defending our sacred tradition of sucking ***.

What, you don't care about the Packers and their postseason potential? You some kinda bandwagon fan? Probably switch avatars all willy nilly too, don't ya?

Maybe so, but there is a big difference between two HOF QB's who would make any team an instant Playoff contender vs RG3 who isn't even on the field half the time.
