Incognito is a thug on and off the field. His time should have been *long* done. Frankly, it amazes me that it took people so long to see. The guy plays a detestable brand of football.

Hopefully, Sam Spence can finally recoup some of the MILLIONS of dollars the Sabols have wrongfully withheld from him for over 40 years.

Yep heard more details last night... no problem with him staying on the "dirtbag" list. If he paid her off (seems pretty clear) isn't that a felony?

The problem is, if he shows any sign of aggressive behavior, everyone will be all over him. Joe Lineman can pull the same crap, but won't be nearly as scrutinized.

He's basically gotta be a choir boy. It may not be fair, but with a record like his, I can't blame the media or fans or the team. That's why I think it's a toss up whether he's here all season or not. Especially after being out of the league for a season, he's gonna be jacked to get back out there. Could be a short experiment.
I actually think he'll be fine. The locker room won't allow him to lead a charge to jump up on one guy and it'll take A LOT for any one guy to speak on it if anything does happen, considering Martin took more of a hit than Incognito imo.

I think it is a felony, but it is definitely witness tampering. And was his case the one where he beat his woman on top of a bed of guns? I don't remember who that was, I think it was Hardy.

The thing is, even if Hardy did pay her off, if she's not making herself available to the police to cooperate in the investigation, then they can't even really nail him for that. Assuming he did it right.

Yea they can, unless Hardy or the victim are hiding their money somewhere. All the police need is legal clearance to each's financial records. So let's say that Hardy paid her $20,000 to not help. The police, if they get access, will find that Hardy withdrew $20K on 2/10/15 and the victim deposited the same amount on the same amount on the same day. This obviously looks fishy and they will act accordingly.

I think it's a little more complicated, but still think you're right in that there should be a paper trail. It sounds like there was a civil case that was settled. The language of that settlement is public record (if it's in there, what an idiot). But they can probably see the settlement amount and compare it to transactions, money available, etc.

I hear you on "doing it right" Bmore Irish, but I'd find it hard to believe that SHE would "do it right".

Ha, there is no way there's anything in the civil settlement to nail him. He pays lawyers for a reason.

Unless the victim comes forward with an accusation that she was intimidated, this case is over.

Assuming Hardy has competent lawyers. The terms of the civil case will be sealed and both parties not allowed to discuss the settlement.

It would appear she choose the cash over seeing her attacker in jail. When in reality she could've had both. Meanwhile the victim will in some circles come off as someone who was in this for the money.

Will be interesting to see if the Panthers owner does anything about this. Testimony and evidence from the original trial is disgusting.

Yeah this has a lot of legs to it. What will the NFL do? And whatever they do, how will it be received? Letter of the law, he should've played the entire year last year which could've made a difference for his team AND helped him in a contract year. But the NFL can't consider that past punishment either (see Adrian Peterson). Should his punishment fall under the previous domestic violence rules? If so, what the hell are those rules (seemed like it was just make up something that feels right)? If they wait to see if anything else comes of his accuser slipping out, does he get removed from the exempt list before the case is completely closed?

And once again, an absolute horrible person to be the face of properly handling situations like this.

BALTIMORE (AP) — The head of security for the Baltimore Ravens, who is accused of groping a stadium worker, is now facing a second-degree assault charge in the same case.

Darren Sanders, a former Baltimore Police Department officer, was charged in late December with a fourth-degree sex offense. The case stems from allegations that he grabbed the woman's breasts and buttocks and kissed her without her permission while she escorted him to his car at the stadium. Sanders denies the allegations.

The additional charge was made public Tuesday when the case was transferred from District Court to Circuit Court for trial.

The Ravens have placed Sanders on paid leave.

Sanders had a role in the Ravens' handling of a domestic violence case involving player Ray Rice after video surfaced showing Rice hitting his then-fiancee in an elevator.

Slight clarification for clarity... HE was escorting HER to HER car. In other words, she asked him to do his job to ensure her safety and ended up being exactly what she wanted an escort against.
