Re: NFL Off Topic
How do you guys feel about teams receiving punishment for signing or drafting a player with multiple known domestic violence related arrests? The idea seems to be picking up steam in the sports media after Ray McDonald was cut.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
If you said convictions rather than arrests I'd care more about the idea. Players with legit problems get processed out of the league by virtue of not being worth the hassle or due to jail time. The PR and whatnot is enough of a deterrent, I don't think anything really needs to be done and it's a pretty horrible case to hang their hat on if this becomes a 3rd case that results in no wrongdoing/or charges for McDonald.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Are people forgetting that we have a legal system? The beef with how things are being handled should be taken up with them, not with anyone's employer even if they are in the public spotlight. It's great that the NFL is doing more now than they were before, but they are going to need to draw a line... and it seems soon. It's completely unethical for them to be punishing players before they have their day in court, and the level of punishment some are calling for is completely out of proportion with what the court system is laying out there.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Wasting time and money on a player who gets himself into trouble is punishment enough.
Don't hamstring the organization and therefore the fans who pay and cheer for their team. Seems like insult to injury.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

It's only in the news because someone (can't even remember who she is) said the team and GM need to be punished and most are saying how insanely stupid that is.

I agree completely. Was curious what others here thought as I noticed wanting teams punished becoming more popular of an opinion from journalists.Comment

Considering that he was cleared the last time this woman accused him of domestic violence, Id say giving him the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise is pretty reasonable.Comment

I read on PFT that they should consider stripping teams of their draft picks since fining them wouldn't really hurt them#RespectTheCultureComment

I cannot say exactly what he said because this is a PG forum, but the gist of it was that when you meet a girl and are interested in her, go to the bathroom and eliminate certain bodily fluids. Then go back to her and see if you are still interested.
If so great, get her number and whatever. If you are no longer interested, she is banana cream pie and you should stay away.Comment

They just have to pass the low bar the Falcons set last year. Still disappointed it's not Buffalo or Washington.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Meh, It's going to be the JJ Watt Show (which is something i'm not against. Maybe this will be the vehicle to make him an even bigger name) but the rest of the show is going to be dull as dishwater IMO.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Houston weren't my top pick, but Hard Knocks is something I enjoy no matter the participant.
Yeah, that would be the only way to really hurt teams. Even then I doubt that would stop them from signing or drafting a gifted player with off the field troubles. There will always be one team willing to take a gamble.Comment
