You could say selfish in that he was drawing attention to his personal accomplishments. There is definitely an argument to be had that it was self serving and a bit disrespectful to the opposing team (no matter who they were).

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
Obviously you're not going to agree, but TO ME it was selfish in that he feels that his record should take precedent over the fact that the NFL already 'suspended' those guys for the year. I just didn't agree with the way it was handled at all, first for Brees asking for permission for them to attend and then the NFL allowing it. Makes me feel like the 'suspensions' are just lip service.
And this singular act alone isn't why I feel that way about Brees lately, a lot of the things he's said in regards to Bountygate just come off as arrogant and misinformed.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
Is Brees wrong for asking or is the NFL wrong for setting that precedent with allowing Gregg Williams to attend Rams Games?
Got no problem with Brees ASKING because the worst case scenario is the NFL saying no, which they could've done.#RespectTheCultureComment

I disagrees w/ the selfishness for this particular event. Sean Payton helped give Brees a chance when he was written off. I took it as him actually honoring them by wanting them there. I'm sure that personal gratitude is outweighs whatever suspensions are going on, and I don't blame him.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
This guy clearly values his job in the NFL.
• He was observed swerving into other lanes, passing multiple vehicles, running red lights and speeding in a pedestrian-heavy zone.
• He then refused several orders from police to stop the car and get out of the vehicle, apparently even driving his SUV straight at a couple of the officers and forcing them to dive out of the way. The officers drew their guns, but did not fire, according to the criminal complaint, "due to the large number of pedestrians and motorists on the sidewalks and roadway."
• He slammed into a parked vehicle, injuring the driver, who was still in the vehicle.
• He kept going, finally hitting several other cars so hard that he disabled his own SUV.
• He got out of the car, took off his shirt, and began to run from police.
• He was finally subdued in a parking lot --at 6-foot-3, 348 pounds, he required multiple officers -- and handcuffed when he resisted arrest.
• His blood-alcohol content was found to be .196 percent, more than twice Pennsylvania's legal limit of .08 percent.
