I don't want Tampa to get it anymore because they'll take Clowney.

Re: NFL Off Topic
Who do you guys consider league MVP as of right now.
Peyton Manning is on pace for a record year. Broncos look to be well on their way to the #1 seed in the AFC.
Is Tom Brady a serious threat to him? 9-3 record. Two of those loses a bit controversial. New England has been hammered with injuries. Doesn't have anything near the weapons Manning has.
Reading this morning that Russell Wilson deserves serious consideration. I don't personally think so.
Anyone else out there worth mentioning? Or is this award Peyton Manning's and no one else should matter in the discussion.Comment

Going off the head here...but what about Calvin? Or will Detroit need to win the division in order for him to have a strong case?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
He is on pace for 100 receptions, 1,500 yards and 15 TD. Not too shabby. Only problem is in an NFL today that is so QB focused I think you need an AP type season to be a serious MVP contender if you're a RB or WR.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I'd still give it to Manning.
Wilson's getting a lot of love right now but I think the defense is more valuable than his particular play. Richard Sherman should get strong consideration for DPOY.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: NFL Off Topic
When Randy Moss had 98 rec, 1,493 yards and 23 TD he didn't even SNIFF an MVP vote. Brady got 49 and Favre got one.
There's no way any WR should come close to being an MVP for CJ-type numbers this year unless something went terribly wrong, if Moss couldn't even muster one single vote.
Also just throwing this out there for Defensive Player.
It's a more "under the radar" type thing and I don't think he'll come close to winning... BUT if I had to vote today, it would be for Karlos Dansby.
Not a sexy pick but 91 tackles (5 assists), 5.0 sacks, 2 INT (1 pick-six), 1 forced fumble with 1 fumble recovery and 15 passes defensed. That's a pretty damn solid MLB right there.Last edited by ubernoob; 12-03-2013, 02:05 PM.badComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Random question: Why are people (mainly the media) so quick to put on their capes for Andrew Luck? The guy can never just have a bad game, there always has to be a qualifying reason. If it isn't his lack of weapons, it's his defense, or the playcalling.NFL - Vikings

93 total tackles, 4 interceptions (1 pick-six, 1 for 74 yards), a fumble recovery and 6 passes defended in 2 less games (3 if you don't count the game he got hurt early).
There's too many linebackers with good stats that can be up there. Burfict, Kiko, Pus etc.
If Berry Church had more passes defended and interceptions, he'd have to be up there.--

Re: NFL Off Topic
Always wondered the same thing myself. I'm a big Andrew Luck fan, always have been. I think he has all the potential in the world and is going to be a great QB. But he's not playing like a great QB right now. Not all of that is his fault, but the fact still remains.Comment
