Drew Brees was NOT about to be a career backup. As soon as he proved his shoulder was fine, teams would've been lining up to sign him.

And lol @ using Cassell being signed to back up a back up thrusted into the lineup due to injury, as your example of dreams coming true.

I remember when Brees left San Diego there was actually quite a bit of debate about that being a bad move at the time. Granted, that side of the argument was in the minority due to Brees' arm issues. It was still pretty hotly contested. One can't say it didn't work out for San Diego anyways but there was definitely a potential of it being a "Why did we let him go?!" kind of a deal.

No I don't think that . Before Hasselbeck, the Seahawks were irrelevant. The pats sucked before Drew Bledsoe. I'm not that dumb.

4 out of 8 years in the playoffs and never having a truly horrendous season isn't that bad of a deal IMO.

I love Ryan Fitzpatrick. He has never been in the right situation up until now. He is the only qb on the Jets roster that can lead them to the playoffs. He is a good leader and a much better qb than Geno Smith. The Bills should not have let him go.

Nope. I still have faith. It's just one bad game and only the 3rd week of the season. Follow him throughout the season and things may get better. And I'm not a Jets fan, either
