It's not surprising since he never really had anyone worth taking that chance with, and considering the make up of the team, it's made a ton more sense to not hurt the defense and give the ground game a chance rather than throwing jump balls. But in the red zone when you have a guy like Graham, you have to trust that he will win battles. You also have to make him your first read a lot more often than is happening.

If he can't trust Graham in this regard, that trade was a huge loss considering they gave up an olinesman to get him, and are playing more of a pass catching TE at a time when the oline could use help blocking.
I think Wilson finally got the message with his last game.

Graham had 9 catches for 140.

Russell's had it drilled into his head, over and over again, that it's all about protecting the football by Pete Carroll. Think that contributes to some of his unwillingness to throw 50/50 balls lately. But his first two seasons that definitely wasn't the case and he was more than willing to throw those to Golden Tate and to a lesser extend Sidney Rice. He trusted Golden Tate a lot to win on those downfield. Just doesn't do it so much with Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse. Think we're starting to see him go to Jimmy and trust him a bit more now, just think it'll take some time.

Not really sure where to put this but interesting nonetheless. All I really care about is whether this impacts the NFL's deal with EA though.
Not sure how that can reasonably get anywhere. At best the NFL might be forced to reduce the rate they charge commercial establishments or something, rather than anarchy with TV rights lol.

Huh, I've seen Wilson throw up a lot of 50-50 balls.

To their credit, the Seattle WRs have done well going up to get the ball.

Even smaller guys like Tate and Baldwin.

Fail Mary was a jump ball. So was that pass to Kearse in the SB which set up the would-be winning TD.

Surprised they haven't done more with Matthews, who had that big SB game.

Things like this can go really far.

Yep, it was the first game I saw him going to Graham deep really. Usually it's just 5-yard outs and short routes like that if he finds him, which is the wrong way to use Graham.

Now he just has to hope he gets time to find him.

Eh, usually he doesn't start throwing 50/50 balls till he needs too. A lot of his really deep passes are to receivers creating separation already. Besides having Graham now as a jump ball receiver, I don't really blame him for not trying with the Seahawks current receiving group. They aren't built for it.

Lmao! I just thought about something. Russell Wilson is SLIGHTLY similar to Tom Brady. In the sense that he has led a team to more than one Super Bowl with receivers who were not high draft picks. People that dislike Wilson should think about that. Yeah, Wilson has benefited from having good defenses but so has Tom Brady, yet people never say Tom Brady is overrated but you always hear that about Wilson.

                Am I wrong?

I am not even supposed to like Wilson since I am a niners fan

Slightly similar in that they are both quarterbacks, yes.

Yes on so many levels. Just go watch the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl again if you need a reminder. You completely skipped out on the fact that Wilson has also had a running game that lets Seattle dictate when they throw the ball more often than not for starters.

Did Corey Dillon not exist or something?

He's not even saying the comparisons are directly one to one, he's just saying that the situations that Brady played in are very similar to the ones Russell has been placed in early in his career.
