Please, please, please. I'm tired of Blandino and his BS explanations following what are obvious bad calls decisions by his officials. Here is a funny little nugget. They guy who had Blandino's job before him, is now a head linesman. He couldn't even rate as head official anymore.

I know its not all Blandino's fault, but heavy is the head that wears the crown. He keeps cashing checks as the head of officiating, so it fall on him at the end of the day.

So glad we're talking about Johnny Manziel again instead of JJ Watt's overrated, overexposed ***.

I'm sure he had conversations with the coaching staff and the rehab stint was proof of him maturing. Since leaving rehab he's been in an car incident where he was likely drinking AND is accused of DV on his girlfriend. That not even brushed over yet, and he's popping champagne?

If I have another QB who has done absolutely nothing wrong and has been playing great anyway, why on earth would I stick by giving this screw up the starting job?

Even if you just look at this in a vacuum I don't understand the objection to benching him. He's done absolutely nothing in this league to be owed the benefit of the doubt.
They knew what he was before drafting. It's like getting married and being upset that your partner is who you thought they were.

I can see this one heading down the ****ter quick. Is this just Pettine's call or one the owner is OK'ing as well?

I can totally see the owner fighting with Pettine because Johnny is his prized first round pick while Pettine has to stick to his guns to command a certain level of respect from his players.

          Result: IT'S A CLUSTER

Not sure if Pettine was good with drafting Johnny. Even with his baggage, knowing what he did in college, it doesn't make it okay if they all came to an understanding.

From jump, Pettine has had this bizarre obsession with punishing Manziel. This is an ego decision, not a smart decision.
This is where I'm at with it. If you need to evaluate this kid and the position, what does making him 3rd string solve. He has two more years under contract at a relative bargain price. Didn't watch the game, but saw he threw for 375 yards vs Pittsburgh.

That said, Manziel needs to be smarter. Throw a party at your house and confiscate cell phones as people enter....Done. Jeter did this and all we know about him is he has run through all the girls...ALL. THE. GIRLS.

If you say so. I'm in the camp that thinks it's disgusting that guys like Hardy gets chances bc he excels on the field. But here we have a kid who has had what, one good game? That they lost? And that trumps accountability? This has nothing to do with McCown. I could be the Browns only other QB on the roster. If Johnny made a commitment to the team and a promise to do certain things, then went back on that, he deserves the consequences.

The team is a joke to most... but you're suggesting they should live up to that title by not punishing him because... I don't even know what the logic is. No idea how this is the coach putting himself above the team. If anything, it's the coach putting the team above Manziel.

You get involved anyway, that's on you (and on the Browns in this case). But then when she proves to not be one to change, you wise up and kick her to the curb... not sure how that is a move to stroke your own ego though.

I think the logic is that the team sucks, swallow your pride and stop being righteous and let a troubled player show what he can or can't do. It's very much football business.

And I agree with that in a vacuum. But we live in a much broader world where Pettine has to keep the respect of his players, the media backlash, and whatever else comes when a decision like this is made.

If it was a player with no record of this behavior, it wouldn't be a story and there would be no repercussions. I can't exactly be mad at Pettine for making a statement because Johnny has been a joke off the field and continues to be one whether or not it's being magnified or not. He brought this on himself so I don't have sympathy for him and do not give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't give a **** what Johnny does on his damn bye week. He went to rehab. He failed at it. What does that have to do with football? Did he drink responsibly and within the law? If so then idgaf.

What the hell is Josh McCown doing for you? Do you monitor his drinking the same way? Miss me with this headline.

He shown up at a club.
