I hope this goes all the way to the Supreme Court.

Let's just take this stupidity to the highest level possible.

The only way this can end is with it going to the Supreme Court and being deadlocked due to the fact that Judge Scalia hasn't been replaced.

Even better. I'm just rooting for stupidity at this point, I've abandoned all hope for a reasonable outcome that all parties can live with. Why else would they drag out something this petty for this long?

Well, this certainly has been an interesting Monday in the NFL.

Maybe Brady himself wishes he'd just served the suspension last year to get it over with.

Not really. They have a weak schedule to start the season and I heard that he re-did his contract so he'll only lose like $200k instead of $2M last year. Not sure if that's accurate though.

Eh. Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans, Bills. Considering the unpredictability of the AFC East this year, they can easily be 2-2 by the time Brady gets back.

This is true. Not sure the schedule is weak though. They do at least have 3 of the 4 games at home, but @ Arizona is a likely loss without Brady, and I think there's a pretty solid chance they lose 2 of the other 3 without him as well (Texans, Bills, and Dolphins).

They're pretty much right, and this isn't so much about deflategate as a precedent that would be set if Goodell's decision can be overruled in court. Many seem to lose sight of the fact that the players agreed to Goodell to continue having this kind of power in exchange for money (and ending a lockout). They are trying to have their cake and eat it too.

Honestly, Goodell could've suspended Brady indefinitely, and as ridiculous as that thought may be the players gave him that power.

Jimmy Garoppolo has an oppertunity to show what he can do out there. Chance to increase trade value if he plays well. I'm honestly really excited to see what the kid can do over a four game stretch. Get to see something new at QB for a little bit before Tom Brady comes back for the final 12 games.
