So glad our guys didn't have to deal with this and instead had a dance party in the locker room celebrating. I would hate the team if they were out talking like this. What is the union even for? Leveon just gotta remix Cold and put it out for the Steelers season opener, "Can't a young ***** get money anymore?!" I almost never expect guys to miss games but reading a comment the other day of "Imagine looking forward to a season where the team who uses you as much as if not more than any other player in the league has the option to just run you into the ground and then cut bait at the end of the year" and I get it now.

I don’t think this is a case of them sounding Pro-Steelers and anti-pay Bell regardless of who the union rep is on the team. I don’t think there’s a single player in that locker room that faults him for what he’s doing.
I think they’re pissed at him for not sticking to his word(not that he owes them anything)moreso because what other reason would they have to speak out publicly(not that I support that either, BTW) about this if they support what he’s doing?#RespectTheCultureComment

Sounds like accounts of a military squad where one guy abandoned the group.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: NFL Off Topic
One of the lineman specifically mentioned that Bell makes 7 times what he makes. Dude said he went to camp a day after his mom's funeral. I don't think they support what he's doing in the first place. Reminds me of the stuff Earl Thomas had to say about Kam's holdout that went into the regular season as opposed to ending his early. Seems like they're fine with guys holding out until it starts to affect them and the team, which I kinda get but basically means they aren't really supportive of holdouts.
Sounds like accounts of a military squad where one guy abandoned the group.
I just don’t think that them speaking out automatically means they don’t support what he’s doing because if that’s the case, why wait until 4-5 days before the first game of the season when they had 4-5 months to speak their piece?

I think because there was time for him to come back without missing games then. Now the holdout is real.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: NFL Off Topic
Fact still remains the union rep for the Steelers (same goes for the others, but let’s focus on Roman Foster here since his words are the most egregious given his title and responsibilities) shouldn’t be counting another teammate’s money through the media, regardless of what was thought to have been promised, agreed upon, or whatever the case may be.Comment

Edit: Just to clarify, I'm just agreeing with PPM that something all of a sudden changed everyone's change of heart. All we heard from anyone up until Tuesday that they would love him there but they need to focus on playing with what they have.
I am in no way saying or implying that what they did publicly was okay and unless I missed it, I don't think anyone else did either.Last edited by kehlis; 09-06-2018, 06:04 PM.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
On his weekly radio show on Tuesday, Ramon Foster was fine when asked about it. Said all the right things and showed no emotion. If I remember, I'm pretty sure at one point he even said he expected to see him tomorrow (Wednesday).

Has anyone disagreed with that?

My mistake.
I misinterpreted what was posted as implying the reactions where somehow justified because something probably happened in that window of time.

"One veteran player told me players waited a day to criticize Bell to give him a chance to come in Wednesday but 'he ****ed us'."
At least AB has his back.
The Athletic put out a long article on OBJ and his come up, interviewing people who knew him. I gotta get through it but I'm sure it's good, they don't disappoint.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: NFL Off Topic
So did he tell them he would show up or not? That question still hasn’t been answered and it’s the only one that matters now because that’ll at least somewhat explain why they reacted like they did so suddenly.
What did AB say?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
AB posted this after all the locker room turned on homie the other day:
As far as what he told people, it's hard to say what they heard but right after the report came out at the end of August that he told them he was reporting (http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/s...s/201808280158) LB tweeted this:
Talking about "this dude makes 7.5 times what I make and twice what this guy makes" just doesn't come off as a spur of the moment turn to me.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
