I can’t believe Nathan Peterman will be starting at QB again. Lol

Apparently the main reason Anderson was brought in was the feeling that McDermott would lose the locker room if Peterman were to start. I expect the Bills to get torched by the Bears.

The front office and coaching staff totally botched the QB situation in an epic way.

When a game actually matters, Peterman just can’t play football. It’s weird. We’re 2-6, I bet he has a decent game because it’s meaningless.

Most teams only carry 2 QB, so Peterman looking better then McCarron and getting something for him made sense... I didn’t expect Peterman to be a complete pumpkin (Happy Halloween) and then the injuries. He’s kind of what you’d expect out of a 3rd string QB, so this is fitting.

          Fun stat.

Last season, Alex Smith had a career high 26 passing TDs.

This season, Mahomes has 26 passing TDs in the first 8 games.

Paul Zimmerman, AKA Dr. Z, the lead NFL writer at SI for years, died today. He had a series of strokes about 10 years ago that ended his writing career. I always enjoyed reading him back in the day.

              RIP Dr. Z.

                Damn, man.

He used to write some stuff for SI too. Condolences to his family and loved ones.

One of the true characters of the game and a guy who knew more about football than most people could in their entire lives. I read some of his writing in the early aughts and always found great insight from him.

Why? Jones was a solid backup in Pittsburgh. He'll never be a #1 but he didn't go out and single-handedly lose games either.

Former Bears HC Marc Trestman is back on the job market again:

Former Bears coach Marc Trestman, a surprise hire when he was plucked from the Montreal Alouettes post-Lovie Smith, won a Grey Cup with the Toronto Argonauts in 2017. Trestman is now out of a job.

The Argonauts have announced that Trestman has been relieved of his duties.

That’s a rare accomplishment for any coach, going from top of the mountain to out the door in only one year. But the Argos imploded in 2018, chasing their championship with a 4-14 free fall punctuated by a loss last week to the equally awful Alouettes, now quarterbacked by Johnny Manziel.

Toronto ended its season with a 24-9 loss at Ottawa, with Trestman being fired the next day.

He finishes with a 15-23 record in two years with Toronto. Trestman was 13-19 in two years with the Bears, where he definitely did not win a Super Bowl to cap his first season.

The Cardinals announce they've released Sam Bradford.

QB Sam Bradford's take from the Cardinals: $10 million signing bonus, $5 million base salary, $937,500 in per-game roster bonuses. Cards will be off the hook for $2.35 million of base if someone claims him on waivers on Monday.

Hopefully no more GMs get suckered by that guy again. Now watch and see the Bills sign him at some point LOL

Once he clears waivers, the Bills should absolutely sign him if they can get him at a team friendly deal.

I know I don't need to remind you but they are starting Peterman again tomorrow.

Yes yes, it's a pitiful situation. If they can get him at a team friendly deal he would be an upgrade over BOTH Peterman and Anderson.
