There’s some weird injury situations going on in the NFL right now. Cordy Glenn with Cincinnati and Kelechi Osmele with the NY Jets.

Is it just me or are players kind of pushing back against the league or at least their teams more this season? The guys on Miami wanting out due to tanking, Jalen Ramsey picking up an injury out of seemingly nowhere, these two OL and their situations.

Chiefs actually have competent guys running their team so I wouldn’t worry about it becoming another RG3 situation.

Yeah different situation all the way around. RG3 basically only had his mobility. Take away his threat to run, and he wasn’t a legit starting QB. That doesn’t describe Mahomes at all.

And Andy Reid doesn’t seem like a merciless win at all costs type of person. I think he genuinely cares for his guys.

          Playbooks

Ok this will seem like a totally random question. But what goes into designing an offense, particularly the Xs and Os of a particular play? I mean, especially on running plays, when you draw those lines that show players where to block, how do you know it's going to work or not?

There aren't really "lines" in the way that video games would have you believe there are.

Offensive lineman have assignments on every play which are dependent on both what the offensive playcall is versus how the defense lines up. It's a very fluid combination of a lot of things.

              Oops.

Antonio Brown's grievance to recoup some his $30 million in guaranteed money took a hit in discovery when the @Raiders submitted multiple text messages from Brown to owner Mark Davis, asking for his release, per sources. The Raiders obliged Sept. 7.

Steelers LB Anthony Chickillo arrested for an incident with his girlfriend, girlfriend also cited for harassment. He carries a decent cap number, can see him being cut.

Raiders trade former 1st round pick CB Gareon Conley to Houston for a 3rd. The two teams play each other this weekend.

This was the Seahawks third so effectively the Texans traded Clowney for CB Gareon Conley, LB Barkevious Mingo, LB Jacob Martin.

Oakland's defense just gave up a perfect game to Aaron Rodgers, so clearly this is a move leading up to a larger one you'd have to think...

They should focus on their officiating first, but that's not how it works..

The product is almost completely unwatchable for me most of the time. I won't go out of my way to watch any NFL games anymore.

Unless the Giants are playing I’m usually not watching. I turned on NASCAR instead of the Bears/Saints Sunday afternoon.
