Nonsense. Unless it’s a fire hazard or a fireman tells to put out, after a championship game...if you know you know.

While you shouldn't do that to anyone unless you know them, I don't think it was the slap that is getting him charged. It's the words that happened afterwards and tone.

Battery is the proper legal term, it's extremely broad. Depending on state laws they may have different levels and I'm sure this is nothing, but it's still battery. He'll get it down to a fine and community service at worse.

I believe the officer was hired by the Superdome to restrict who got into the locker rooms. When he smelled the smoke, he went in to let them know that wasn't allowed and if it continued they would be arrested. It sounds like he was just doing his job.

My question is: What was Orgeron doing during all of this? Was he not in the locker room to keep a little bit of order? Why wouldn't he be talking to the officer that's threatening to arrest his players?

It's above an officer's pay grade to enforce rules/laws?

To keep this topic in the friendly confines of the NFL Arena, you’re correct and Odell will have to do a community service gig and all will be forgotten?

I think the term I was looking for was plausible deniability but in this day and age of college that doesn’t exist.

Looks like the officer decided to withdraw his request to press charges. He may have gotten a handout that the players have to give back.

It's stupid, but you can't have that attitude with cops, drunk or not. Even if you do nothing wrong, having an attitude is only going to make it worse. Notice the cop didn't do anything until he saw the video and found out it was Odell so he probably wanted to make a point to punish Odell.

Edit- sounds like he wasn't even a cop, but a security guard working for the Superdome who has the ability to arrest someone. So a rich NFL player definitely doesn't want to "disrespect" a security guard who can go on a power trip and arrest you out of spite.

Also reported CBS has the ability to match any offer.
Am I the only person who doesn't like Romo?

His play prediction stuff is great, no problem there

but for the love of all that is holy, clear your throat, man! you can't be a professional broadcaster and continue to do this high school act of husking your voice and trying to sound cool, you need to clear your damn throat and speak normal

I don't get it, but everyone loves him, so far be it for me to tell him what to do, but damn, I've started muting the games when he's on because of his whole "trying to sound cool" style, he's so annoying

I can't stand the dude because tbh, he's horrible at his job. He's supposed to bring football knowledge in a semi-dumbed down way to the casual fan but he ends up just stating the obvious and he's wrong all the time.

I'll never claim to have a better understanding of the game than him but I just don't think DL'men know to much about the rest of the game apart from the trenches and that's where most of the broadcast attention is placed. To me, it's why QB's make the best analysts because they understand nearly every position apart from special teams.

He was annoying as a 3rd wheel and he was even worse in the booth. I muted MNF and even watched it in Spanish a lot.
