I remember saying last year, probably in this very thread, that the only veteran QB that might be available (ie Rodgers, Wilson, Garoppolo, Mayfield, etc) that I'd be ok with the Steelers investing in was Wilson because he's still just like 33 and I felt he could still give several good years.

He could still turn it around and have 2022 just look like an outlier but, man, it has been ugly.

My preference was the draft, of course, and I'm glad they went that route. Who knows how Pickett will turn out but my gut right now is "good enough" with the progress he's showing. Understand, when I say "good enough" that I don't mean "great" or "Top 3 QB" or anything like that. I mean that I think he'll be good enough to make you a contender with the right guys around him. We'll see. It's going to be fun to watch (even if it doesn't end up going well).

I would take it but only because the A's gave up a couple years ago and I'd give anything to see them spend any sort of money to make it look like they're trying.

To be fair, Denver has only played 12 games in those 13 weeks (sidenote: I think 11 of them were on national television).

Yeah I gave up on the Broncos a few weeks ago. I thought for a time they could be dangerous if they could pull it together, but this is who they are by now. One of the most disappointing teams I can remember.

Huge blow to the Bills defense in particular the pass rush.

Other rush ends gonna have to get healthy (hopefully) and step up big.

And there isn't another veteran like Hughes or Addison to lean on.....

It's a huge blow, but I expected he was gone as soon as it happened. It seemed a little outlandish for a 33year old to return after getting carted off on Thanksgiving.

Rousseau and Epenesa are back, so we at least have a full rotation otherwise. If we're gonna try to pull a guy for the stretch, Pernell McPhee, Dee Ford, and Eversen Griffen are available. Though anyone on their couch in December is a high-risk play anyway.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

Agreed. More disappointing then the Dynasty Eagles when they signed Vick and I thought they would be a fun team.

there was 3 or 4 year run, like Madden 10 -12 or so, soo much fun playing w/Tampa's two Josh's at qb, but Freeman was waay more fun than Johnson. I guess the fun with Johnson was in that it was more challenging lol
