Clowney is definitely the most talented player in this years draft class, but I think he's a good fit for falcons (6th overall) and could easily still be on the board by then. Too many teams need a QB and need to take advantage of this loaded QB class

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
If he fell to the Falcons, then Atlanta just stole the draft. It could happen, but I don't seem him falling past Oakland. I think Oakland will give Pryor another shot and get a QB later in the draft.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers
NBA: Indiana Pacers
MLB: Cleveland Indians
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers
NASCAR: Ryan Newman

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
Jake falling to #12 isnt far fetched. Teams ahead of the g-men i see coukd take another position of need before T, except may be one. I hope the first T taken will be Robinson, Aub.. So imo, obviously, its not that crazy to think.Comment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
Jake Matthews is easily the best OT in the draft so I can't see him dropping to 12. It could happen though, you never know. The giants could end up with a nice consolation prize with Taylor Lewan, Cyrus Kouandjio or Robinson. Just hard for me to see Matthews still on the board at 12Chicago Cubs

I really hope the Texans trade out of that #1 pick. Then they go offensive line, AJ McCarron, secondary for their first 3 picks.
The rest should alternate between OL, LB, and secondaryComment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I'm high on boyd. I think he's one of the best QBs coming out this year and i think he is going to be a steal in the middle rounds (Great build, makes all the throws, very poised in the pocket, thrives in bowl games and was very loyal to Clemson). IF they decide to keep the #1, IMO it will be Bortles. O'brien prefers a QB with a large build (like Tom Brady) not to mention he had a game winning drive against Penn State so you better believe he's on O'brien's radar. You shouldn't have to worry about Manziel (I like Manziel, he just doesn't fit O'brien's system)Last edited by johnnyg713; 01-14-2014, 12:08 AM.Comment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
AJ McCarron is kind of a confusing prospect. He is a "game manager" but he is also a proven winner. He struggled in his bowl game, dropping him to a projected 3rd rounder, but if he has a good senior bowl I could see a team like the Vikings pick him in the first round(remember Christian Ponder was a stretch). He doesn't have a great or very accurate arm, so I could also see him falling to the 4th or 5th round.Chicago Cubs

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
If Houston drafts McCarron I hope Reliant burns down. Weak arm and buckles like Owen Daniels' knees when you pressure him. The ineptitude displayed by (hopefully) getting rid of Matt Schaub and replacing him with a guy just like him would make the Browns go "Damn son..."Last edited by Melanconfan; 01-14-2014, 02:27 AM.Comment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I'm really buying into this Jordan Matthews kid. He's a tough competitor. Obviously a smart guy going to Vanderbilt. He actually requested tape on all the corners going to the senior bowl so that he could prepare.
Dude is Russell Wilson in receiver form. I want him.
This draft class is ridiculously loaded with wideouts.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
