Houston thing is drafting wants vs needs. This problem happens alot for teams. While yes Houston needs an QB they didn't go 2-14 just because of that.A slew of injuries QB problems etc.If I'm Houston I go best on the board or trade the pick.I'll go with CLowney then get an QB in the later round.

YEP!! the Offensive line has had isssues and Manzel who may be light footaed would likely get killed here. Cloweny and Watt together on the line could scare anyone. Throw in a healthy Cushing and the defense maybe able to rebound from last yearatleast..Its not DelawareComment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
This draft reminds me of 2006 when the Texans took Mario Williams instead of Reggie Bush, who at the time alot of people expected to be the first overall pick.
Its just a gut feeling but I dont think Houston will take a QB with the first pick. Felt that way back in 2006 when it came to Reggie Bush, feeling it again with Manziel.Aaron

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
Bridgewater is the more polished QB of the top three prospects, more pro-ready, but he also probably has the lowest ceiling of the three.
And at this point, I just have a feeling that Manziel is destined to end up in Cleveland.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
IMHO I don't think we can place QB's until we see where these "ready to start" QB's end up.By that I mean guys like Cousins and Mallet if someone wants to trade for them.I think that's an big X factor that alot of people aren't talking about.Comment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
Even though I like all 4 first round QBs, I think this might be the way to go. I am very impressed with cousins, and this class is so talented you would be smart to fill other needsLast edited by CBoller1331; 03-04-2014, 08:53 AM.Chicago Cubs

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I don't see New England given up Mallet, with Brady coming to the end of his career, Mallet is in a prime spot to take over that team and hit the ground running. With as many years as he has had in that system and the fact that the Patriots have kept him around says hes doing everything Bellichek has asked of him.
But then again, if the deal is too good to pass up then anyone is expendableI <3 FootballComment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I guess it is weird, but I kinda agree with what he said most recently. He said something along the lines of "it's not a big deal if you don't communicate for 3 days." Parts of the story are weird/concerning, but I definitely like the original piece, about how/why he left the combine.Ravens: In Ozzie We Trust

That original reason is why his career is over before it started. You Look Good, You Feel Good. You Feel Good, You Play Good. You Play Good, They Pay Good. - Deion Sanders
