Like I said, if the pay were the same you'd have a point. The more you make, the more responsibilities you have and a higher standard you are held to.

I think Cam is a great player. Just think the NFL most valuable player should act like a kid win or lose.

He's paid millions to win football games though.

Greg Hardy made like 10 million this year. They aren't paying these people for anything but football.

They're mercenaries. If they're good with the media, cool. But they're not paid to be.

I'll make this my final note on Cam for the night.

If he were just another player and he did what he did tonight, I completely agree that it wouldn't be a big deal.

But he wants to be the next Peyton/Brady in terms of stature. For him to reach that, he simply has to do more after a loss in the Super Bowl than what he did.

Does it affect my view on Cam, personally? No, because I don't have expectations for him. Did it affect his sponsors/the NFL? I am going to guess, yes, because they do have expectations for him.

Now we're on to how much Cam makes. Was only matter of time. That train is never late.

Except they get fined if they aren't.

EDIT: I wonder how come the media didn't ask Cam about the impact the jetlag had on them?

That is exactly what he does. Acts like a kid, win or lose.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Ah... that explains why the Panthers seemed out of sync. Carolina had to fly all the way across the country and experienced a lot more jetlag than Denver, who had a shorter flight.

I think this is a great point. I think it has a negative impact on his brand. At the end of the day he's not going to be hurting to pay bills.

Giving the media the cold shoulder at your post-SB loss press conference when they're shouting banalities like "Could you describe in words the disappointment you feel?" is not a big deal for me.
Reading some of the reactions in here, you would've thought he gave Peyton the finger and ran off.

As someone that defended Cam and the Panthers constant over the top celebrations during the season, after the way he acted during/after the game, he better bring it down a few notches next season. No one wants to see it.

Yeah, they should've moved the SB to KC so it could be as fair as possible to both teams.

Not saying you do BTW. I just wish we all stopped acting like we want these athletes to be more than what they are. We all just want them to do one thing and that's play Football and help our teams win.
