Can't tell me the NFL or anyone involved in the concussion process cares about player safety, the players included. You don't get hit like that, crumple, and pretend like your brain ain't rattled. Someone needs to take responsibility and get these guys out of the game.

How did Marshall even pass protocol??
Yeah, this sums up my feelings. The Miller one was fine IMO. Marshall one was awful. Stewart one was a penalty, but I don't think it was intentional...just ended up being a bad hit due to Cam falling as Stewart went for the hit. Looked like Stewart tried to turn his body to hit with his shoulder too but didn't turn until it was too late.

They both can hit Cam just as hard by wrapping up and driving through him, rather than launching head first. That's guys going for kill shots with the intention to injure. Neither had any notion to try to wrap up.

Stewart didn't look like he was trying to wrap up on that hit.

When you put your head down and lead with the crown of your helmet, I frankly don't care what any other circumstances there are. Should be an automatic suspension. You'd really see a lot of guys suddenly learn how to tackle then.

The NFL just said they didn't see any reason to put him through the protocol. One game is all it took them to completely lose any credibility after all the talk and changes this offseason.

The Stewart hit, I thought Cam was done. You could tell that he was out for a few seconds. Plus the long delay, I thought for sure he was going to have to be out for at least one play and I assumed it would be for the rest of the game.

I don't know what the spotters that sit up in the box look for, but it's the wrong things. This stuff is really getting to the point where it's almost painful to watch at times.

Certainly weren't going for wrap-up tackles. Few people do nowadays unfortunately, but you see hits like Stewart's all the time; usually it ends up being a shoulder to shoulder hit though. There's a difference between intentionally trying to legally hit a guy hard and intentionally trying to take their head off in an illegal way. To me, Stewart appeared to be doing the former, but he turned his shoulder too late/Cam's helmet level dropped and it resulted in a bad hit.

Marshall's was pretty cut and dry though; that hit was pure malicious.

Yeah, I couldn't believe that the independent doctors didn't see anything there.

And the fact that he reportedly got checked for a concussion immediately after the game seems to suggest that the doctors DID see something but simply didn't want to pull him out from the game.

A shoulder to shoulder hit wasn't even necessary to bring Cam down.

Hell, you have to do more than that to bring his big *** down any other time, especially when he's on the move.

Couple locals here told me that they are cool with the non-calls on the hits against Cam because "Von was getting tackled by Remmer all game." Ok....

Complete fail on the NFL's part all the way around. Actions speak louder than words. There was clear targeting/launching. There was a clear player in need of the protocol or at least a thorough evaluation.

It's really pathetic to see this play out.
I agree one hundred percent and I hope it gets national attention on the media/sports talk avenues.

LOL That's definitely a case of "watching through the lenses of your team". Since Collinsworth made a huge deal of the Miller/Remmer matchup all game I watched that matchup closely. I used to LOVE watching Madden emphasize the line play and use extensive replays to illustrate his point so I knew what to look for. Remmer was playing by the textbook for most of the game. I was quite impressed at how well he played considering all the craziness that happened during the SB.

The one that came while Ware was tackling Cam looked like a okay no call because it doesn't appear as if he lead with the crown of his helmet. He hit him with his facemask. If anything that is more dangerous for the defender. Though had it been flagged I would not have disagreed with that either. It could go either way.

Definately a disgusting job by the officiating crew and the people who are supposed to watching for this stuff. Game should have been stopped and Cam checked for a concussion. Those brutal hits shouldn't have even been allowed to happen without penalty's. Is it just me or is he just treated differently because of his size? Definately feels that way. I'm sure most Denver fans won't agree with this but I guarantee you if that was Tom Brady or Peyton Manning what happened last night wouldn't have been allowed to happen.

Absolutely. Cam gets different treatment because of his size and how much it takes for him to go down. Same thing with Big Ben.

Didn't Cam and Ed Hochuli have an issue last year where Cam told him during a game that he was getting hit late/cheap shots and Hochuli's response to him was basically, "You're a big boy, you'll be alright"?
