    I agree.

They don't have to pay 3 fully guaranteed contracts to start and it was pretty much assumed that they wouldn't keep all 3 picks anyway. They give Hurts another year to show if he can be the guy or they now have the ammo to move up in the draft next year. Unless Jameis has a great year, this could be another likely top 20 pick.

I can see Eagles likely going after a QB in the draft next year. This offseason has shown they can't attract proven QBs(and players in general), so it's better to get more ammo in a better QB draft

I don't know what the plan is for Saints. This would make more sense on Draft night when you can see how the board is falling. This seems like a very lopsided trade for the Eagles. Saints essentially gave up a future 1, 2, 3 to move up 2 spots and pick up an additional mid 1st pick. Those assets could be used to trade for almost any non-QB star player in the league.

Don't like that move from the Saints perspective. Sacrifice next years draft to get an extra mid-1st in what is viewed as a weak draft? I have questions.

Then again I have no idea how next year's draft is shaping up.

It's always based on QBs. If there were a "can't miss" QB, this would be a better draft. A year ago, Howell and Rattler were seen as the top QBs lol. There's always risers and fallers. Next year's class is based on Young and Stroud declaring. But the top 3 as of now are Young, Stroud, and Richardson(UF).

          Im guessing it's 1 of 3 things

          1. It's a potential trade up to grab a QB

          2. Its a trade up for a OT

          3. They moved up ahead of LAC to grab one of the potential OTs that fall
Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit Tigers
Pittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay Packers
          Detroit Red Wings

Which would make more sense if they made Eagles include Andre Dillard in that trade, especially if that would have saved a pick. No one knows how the board will fall. Jags could take a OT with the first pick. Dillard still has "upside" and would fill an immediate need

I think Saints may be trying to bring in some talent a year early, to be honest. Might have a lot to do with their cap situation.

There will be at least 5 teams with multiple firsts next year. Dolphins, Seattle, Houston, Eagles, and Lions. All 5 have QB question marks. It's a good class if Stroud, Young, and Richardson declares. I just get concerned with QB prospects that are throwing to a stable of first round WRs.

My guess per the Saints trade is for a WR. The way we normally see teams pick QBs in the first round, I have this feeling that it'll be WR picked a lot instead. Eight WR ran 4.3 ish this year, and it still doesn't cover the stud guys like Burks, Bell, Ross, Doubs, Williams, Dotson, London. This WR draft is deep. There's no excuse if the Packers don't land a standout WR, haha.

Wait until draft night to see how the board falls then.

You can tell this is a really weak draft class it's April and you hardly hear any promoting the draft compared to last year they would talk about the draft every day lol
This is what it feels like when nobody talks about College basketball until March madness lol

This may be true, but this has otherwise been the most bonkers NFL offseason I've ever seen. Not a lot of need to talk draft when pro bowlers are changing teams every 48 hours.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

"WR Brandin Cooks has agreed to a new two-year extension with the Texans, per source."

Surprised, for sure thought he'll either be traded or playnthe season out and be a FA. But, I guess for someone who has been traded as much as he was, finding stability at this point is more important
