    Didn’t hurt Favre or Rodgers.

Yeah, I think its the configuration of the stadium in relation to the lake. I guess Lambeau is situated perfectly. In fact, I didnt even know it was near a lake.

The Bears have one game every couple of years where the wind plays a huge factor in QB play, he'll be fine

He meant the wind didn’t stop Favre and Rodgers from kicking the Bears’ *** at Soldier Field year after year.

Bumping this to say how happy I am for both guys and for my franchise. Bears made the right move for sure but Fields is proving himself slowly but surely over in Pitt.

I do believe I said Fields would be the starter by week 8 or 9.....

Just found this thread...the amount of people saying in January the Bears should keep fields...

The Jews wondered the desert for 40 years and so have us Bears fans. Caleb is the prophet. Can't wait to play the rest of the division.

I'm just happy to quote myself from January.

Since these exact same issues are coming up with another QB it's pretty clear the organization is still ****ing these guys up. Coaching them so hard on avoiding mistakes makes them second-guess the instincts that got them where they are. Then the offensive line sucks as usual, the QB is slower to throw it because he's overthinking, and the receivers can't catch the ball and their timing is all over the place.

Considering where Fields was on his rookie deal and the team having the first pick I can't say they made the wrong choice here, it's just frustrating to watch.

Caleb's accuracy has been not great, but a rookie that can handle as many checks at the line gives me plenty of hope...Bears coaching staff on the other hand is committing malpractice. #fireEberflus #sellTheTeamVirginia

OC fired. Thank god. Cant believe they are keeping the HC though but who knows. I feel bad for Caleb but he's weirdly a lot less accurate than I think we all thought. A lot less polish to his game (pun intended)

                          Waldron is/was/always will be awful

Caleb is already reverting to hero ball, its simply not going to work in the NFL

Feels less like hero ball and more that he does not trust himself to rip it. Too much hesitation

Packers are screwed. With Waldron gone they'll probably only get about seven sacks this weekend instead of the ten they would have gotten if he was still there.

Fields has/had looked like one would expect Fields to look, even when he was the starter in Pittsburgh and we see how that wasn’t enough for him to keep that job even with the record they had at the time of the switch to Russ, who looks a little bit different compared to a year ago.

Caleb? I can’t even really blame him for his struggles considering the position he was put in from the get go. He’s going to be on his 3rd HC/OC in 3 years, when you include his last year at USC.

Hopefully for Bears’ Fans sake, Poles is gone after this year since this will be 4 years in a row of finishing last in the division AFTER telling folks that the Bears were going to take back the North. And seeing the remaining part of their schedule, it’s going to get ugly again before it gets better.
