Royal has a bum hip and ankle. Thomas has his foot issues. I don't see the team having great depth for the position really when guys are missing games left and right. I have no faith in them.

I guess I should've asked if those problems still exist. I remember them from last year but maybe they feel like they're healthy now. Then again, considering camps JUST opened, I don't know how they could make that assessment.

I agree, do not really understand that trade. I mean I understand we fill a need, but not a big fan of that trade. I now think we have to go look for another WR.

At the very highest he will be fourth on the depth chart at DE. Complete waste of a trade.

Edit: Unless he's just listed as a DE from the 3-4 system and will play DT in Denver, haven't had time to read up on him.

Yes I was under impression he would be playing DT for us. But like you said he won't be a starter.

My biggest concern and I'm sure it won't happen now that McDaniels is gone but why have Thomas refining kicks. I was at game in Baltimore where he got laid out and fumble on opening kick for second half. Makes no sense and to be honest I don't think he is the answer anyways. I hope we go after one of the big WR left on market. Maybe even Roy Williams when he gets release. I know he sucked in Dallas bit maybe a new start with help. Or maybe Braylon Edwards. Anyone know how far under the cap the Broncos are prior to unloading Orton if trade does go through.

$100'ish of 120 million seems to sound right from what I've heard. Give or take some and they still have rookie draftees to sign

Ok if Thomas is out until week 4 (or week 8) then it was definitely a horrible trade. As for the Skins, I'd be shocked if Gaffney didn't make the team... people are just speculating bc of how many WRs they now have, and some don't seem like they should be cut. If he is cut, he'll probably be back in Denver quickly.

The only reason I can think of is that the Broncos plan on Eric Decker starting where Gaffney would have. Decker had the same foot injury as Stokley and it gimped him last season. Only receiver on the roster I can think of that would take the 2nd spot (Royal will get slot duties)

If Greg Olsen is on the market, Broncos should be the first in line with Chicago to see what the price is.

Miami thinks the Broncos are desperate to unload Orton and will take scraps for him.

And I really hope we keep Orton. I really believe he is under appreciated.

I won't be surprised if the Broncos keep Orton and he is the starter. From the sound of things Tebow doesn't sound like he started camp very well and Orton looked good. I think Denver would be foolish to send Orton packing so soon unless they can get a king's ransom for him.

Man I'm behind on the news... this is a great place for Willis to land. Nice pick up.

I think Orton is under-appreciated too (can check all the long threads about him and the trade to see that,lol). I think they're taking a similar approach to Philly with Kolb... meaning he's available but they'll be happy to keep him if they don't get their asking price. I think it's the smart way to go.

I like McGahee being on the team, its a really good fit for him to rebound after having to basically sit last year.

Seems that news people feel like the team has to trade Orton when in reality, they dont. Tebow is 23, there is no real rush for him to start just an extra year when its a rebuilding year anyway. If Miami wants a QB, they have to step it up or they can just go into the season with what they're not happy about.

DT focus time atleast....right?...I hope?
