Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
I don't understand how any team can think they can address a DT issue through free agency anymore. They're either getting an over the hill guy that cant play a season or its a young guy that gets tossed around like a ragdoll with no good moves.Aaron

Haha ask Redskin fans how to address the DT issue in free agency. They did an awesome job landing Haynesworth.Texas A&M Aggies

The analysis for Von Miller from NFL.com, is his tackling as good as it suggests?
Just asking because the 2 games I just watched shows him very good when giving chase but if its 1 on 1 straight up, it doesn't look like he's able to stand them up on a consistent basis. Small sample size I've seen so I'm sure you've got a better input on him.
I worry about tackling now more than I should because of "defense" in the years past where players look like they're trying to tackle in a straitjacketAaron

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
Size hurts Von Miller but he is a great pass rusher and rarely loses contain. Watch the UT v. Texas A&M game from last year. And then I believe the Oklahoma game when OK had 8 chances inside 5 yard line and Von Miller was in on 5 of the plays including a TD saving tackle near goalline
I can see why they took him now. Just need someone to sit in the middle of the line to eat up double teams to let someone have a 1 vs 1 for rushingAaron

Problem with that is they had a chance to take Marvin Austin or Stephen Paea to fill that hole in the middle and didn't. That was a big bummer to me. I was yelling at the TV after that.Texas A&M Aggies

Yea when ya'll had those back to back picks I just new ya'll was about to grab Austin and Bowers. When ya'll got Moore I was like Ok thats a good pick but they need to get Austin with this next pick. I was suprised Denver didn't but I was happy My Giants jumped on him..Texas A&M Aggies

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
Yea I definitely believe the Broncos will make a move on a few vets during free agency. I wonder if the Giants are going to resign Coifield now since the drafted Austin this year and Joseph last year. That might be someone for the Broncos to look out for..Last edited by Jarodd21; 05-05-2011, 07:36 PM.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
During his chat with SportsNation this week, our NFC West blogger Mike Sando speculated on the package it would take for the Arizona Cardinals to pry Kyle Orton away from the Denver Broncos. It should be noted that Sando wasn't reporting that there was necessarily interest on the part of the Cards, just giving his approximation of what kind of trade package might get a deal done.
The tenor of the discussion changed a little bit on Thursday afternoon, after Tim Ring of 3TV in Phoenix reported that the Cardinals have had contact with the Broncos about Orton. There was nothing in the report about timing of these talks, or their extent, so it's unclear how serious Arizona really is in making a move for the veteran.
Until the lockout is lifted, no trades can be transacted, but should the Broncos elect to move forward with Tim Tebow as their primary passer, Orton could be available. And with a need for a veteran QB option, the Cardinals would make sense as a possible destination. However, this is also the first report we've seen linking the two, and we've yet to see confirmation from the other media that cover the team. Stay tuned.
May not be a popular comment, but I think Orton can have a similar success that Warner had in AZ...I am not saying he will be as good as Warner, but believe he would be successful.Last edited by Aggies7; 05-06-2011, 12:08 PM.Texas A&M Aggies

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
Have not heard that one WW but new rumor from ESPN:
I do not know what Denver would get in return but I hope they make it worth it because Orton has done great for us and I am not convince yet that Tebow is the answer, so I hope they don't just trade him for a 3rd or 4th round pick...GET A DT please.
