With all this talk coming from Denver about Hillman being the starter and a running game composed of a committee, it looks like my Montee Ball prediction that was met with such vehemence could in fact be accurate.

Just because Hillman is listed as the number one back going INTO camp doesn't mean anything. No way was Ball going to be listed as the number one back going into camp, come on...

Not a lot of info is out there yet. All I've heard is that it's his second offense and it might be recreational drugs, not PED's.

This just makes me angry.

It is marijuana and one other drug. I guess that's better than PED's, because if it was, you wouldn't really know what you have in Miller.

I don't know how much this is really going to affect them, but it's still concerning. Way too many black-eyes in the last few months for a team that is supposed to SB aspirations. Von himself guaranteed a SB win this year. How is it you do something like this?

Listening to the radio now (I only listen to The Fan), so not exactly official information but the dude is saying his source told him (again, I am not saying this is fact) it is for two separate recreational drugs, one being weed. Not PED related at all.

I'm not sure which I would have been more upset over. I understand why guys use PEDs, not that I condone it, but I at least see the endgame, I see the reasoning, the "logic," however flawed it may be.

Smoking weed and doing coke, or whatever the drugs were, I dunno man, that's just straight up, stupid.

Assuming this information is correct, I really hope Von doesn't have a problem. I hope this was just a case of a superstar kid being young and partying too much, hopefully he is going to straighten out. Don't need another L.T. (Giant's L.T., not Tomlinson) type deal.

Again, I am just speculating, I am not claiming to know any facts, just writing based on what I am hearing from Denver sports journalists.

Considering the violation took place in 2011, I don't understand why it has taken them so long to suspend him.

My guess is 2011 might have just been his first offense, which might have put him in a program, you have to be caught a few times for recreational drugs before a suspension. Don't think you can string the appeals out a few years, so my guess is his latest offense probably from sometime last season.

There are some tweets about amphetamines too though, which are a suspension on a first offense (ie Adderral). Who knows, we'll see what shakes out.

Miller putting out a statement shortly. Hopefully more than 'this is dumb it came out, I have rights to appeal' etc and just admits whatever in an effort to try and move forward.

Yeah, from what I understand the rookie year offense is separate from this offense.

No kidding. If this is true and he believes that he did nothing wrong...

Maybe his views are a little distorted given Colorado's marijuana laws.

According to several sources, this will be Miller's third offense. He was also caught in 2011 and put into the substance abuse program. He was caught a second time and fined. This will be his third, though we'll have to see what happens after the appeal process. Apparently, this was not supposed to leak.

Regardless, it's time for Von Miller to grow up. He could be the most dominate force the NFL has ever seen, and he's risking it all just to get high. He better figure it out fast, because a four-game suspension will hurt. You just cannot replace Von Miller's production.

A 4th offense will mean a one-year suspension. So Miller is dancing pretty close to that line where his career is in jeopardy.

Yeah, I agree this is a possibility, and if it is the case, the dude is a freaking idiot. I mean, I already think he's not very bright, but if he tries to pull a "it's legal in Colorado" deal, he might be one of the dumber kids I have heard of. Company policy is company policy. You can't get high in the NFL. Wait until after your career is over and you are drowning in money to party hard. I was hoping getting rid of D.J. Williams and his "Dyme Lyfe" mentality would clean up the locker room a little, but honestly it sounds like the Broncos are just like every other team out there. There really is no difference between the Raiders and the Patriots, every team has these issues, just some teams are better at nipping them in the bud than others.

I am trying not to freak out and do a Chicken Little. Von Miller is an awesome player, I really love watching him play. This is very, very disappointing. You would think that if your team is the odds-on favorite to win a Superbowl and you are a crucial part of that puzzle, you might exercise some impulse control. On top of all of this, from what I heard, the NFL only tests for recreational drugs during a certain time of the year. Assuming that information is correct, why the hell would you use said recreational drugs during that time frame?
