Anyway, the more I've thought about it, I mean, let's say we start 2-2, ok, that's not the end of the world. Honestly, I think we can be fine. Peyton Manning is still the QB. The defense is still well above average (IMO).[/quote]
Miller would be missed, but I don't believe that they will go 2-2 because of their offense. Manning never had an Offense OR Defense this good in Indy...even with Miller out. And don't forget how good Del Rio has been thus far in his career. The D Schemes will be solid with the players they have other than Miller. Denver will score 30+ and the D without Miller should not allow more than 24 points vs every one of their first 4 opponents. Can I get an AMEN??

I agree. I still expect them to go 4-0.

The toughest game is going to be in NY, and I like going in there and having the older Manning sibling at QB.

I totally agree! Denver definitely has the best Manning brother, and NY's D is not as formidable as it used to be.

NOTHING has been verified as of yet regarding a more recent drug test failure. The only thing that I can think of that the NFL is suspending him for is a strike for marijuana and a second strike for Xtasy... ALL stemming from 2011. If you have a link that states otherwise, I would love to see it. This article supports my "argument."

It is unknown which substances Miller is accused of using. Under NFL policy, Miller would have to test positive for banned substances twice before facing a four-game suspension.

The Denver Post reported Monday that Miller tested positive for amphetamines and marijuana in 2011, his rookie season.
Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller offered no details about his pending four-game substance-abuse suspension but was adamant that he doesn't smoke marijuana.

His first positive test was in 2011.

As you can see from the quote above, per NFL policy, he has to test positive TWICE before they can even consider a 4 game ban.

That means he tested positive a third time.

We just don't know when the second and third offense occurred which is why you haven't read about the specifics on them yet.

Thanks for citing this article, kehlis. But the ambiguity of the suspension remains for me. Yes, the article states that Miller tested positive TWICE. Where are you seeing the 3rd positive test?? The article clearly states that he can incur a 4 game suspension by testing positive twice only...not 3 times. Both of those positive test occurred in 2011. That is my confusion. Everyone believes that he tested positive recently a 3rd time, but nowhere is that being reported. I feel like I am banging my head against a wall here. Am I being ignorant? Sorry.

I just feel like Miller is being made out to be something that he may not be. So many fans jump to conclusions, but there are no reported facts here just speculation. I am willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Maybe this is just my Man Crush talking and I have blinders on.

Yea, I read it a couple of time but interpret it differently than you but also went back and forth a couple of times so I don't really think that statement really clears anything up.

I just interpreted it as he already had to have had a positive test two times prior before he could be considered for a 4 game ban for a third recreational drug test.

As for the bolded part, I don't think he is really being painted as a bad guy nor do I think anyone is mad at him.

I'm just disappointed that it happened multiple times, I really hold nothing against him beyond that and I will continue to wear my Von jersey going forward.

I'm sure being in the heart of things though in CO you guys hear different things than I do.

I just hope, like everyone here, that Von has kept his nose clean. It is just hard to swallow. He has a chance to be special.

BTW, I don't live in Colorado... more like BFE. So you and I have that in common. Cheers.

At this point, there are too many unknowns and it's easy to come to different conclusions based on the information that is out there. Hopefully this has something to do with the understanding as to whether or not his failed test in 2011 counts as one or two failed tests, and he gets off on a technicality.

Right now, I wish he would keep his mouth shut. Tweeting that he has done nothing wrong and then saying that smoking marijuana is not a part of his lifestyle is going to look kind of bad if it comes out that he did fail a second (or third) test because of marijuana.

I really hope Hillman/Ball end up being a great RB tandem.

To clear it up: if he's facing a 4-game ban, and it's not PEDs, this MUST be his third offense. The NFL does not suspend players for 1st and 2nd recreational drug offenses. A 4th offense brings a 1-year suspension.

Not according to the articles referenced in the above posts. 2 positives = a 4 game suspension.

Hillman was the only reason to watch SDSU games, haha. I guess Lindley was decent.

But yeah, perfect for me, from a fan perspective, that he got drafted by Denver.
