        Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread

MHR’s Ian Henson and Scotty Payne have been all over this and news from the Denver Post this evening confirms that the 4-game suspension Von Miller is facing is not because of any new positive drug tests.

Although not all the information has surfaced, I am starting to feel vindicated.

I hope that is true, I don't see him losing an appeal if it is.

That wasn't what you were arguing though so it's not really vindication but that really isn't eh bigger picture for us Bronco fans.

Sorry, Kehlis... we agree to disagree. Please re-read my posts. My argument was always about there being no factual reports to substantiate a recent positive test for drugs which would = a 3rd positive test. Turns out, it may have been due to a missed urine test or some other technicality.

Anyway, I am with you. This is positive news that gives us Broncos fans all hope that Von's appeal my come to fruition. It is also nice knowing that Fox believed in him enough to keep him in the starting lineup to begin TC. Time to focus on some football!

              I don't need to re-read your posts.

Your argument was that he was getting punished simply because of his two positive tests in 2011.

The very article you just posted explains why that isn't why he's potentially being suspended.

LOL, just read it, it is saying that his actions (or lack thereof) constitutes a violation of the probation he was put on AFTER those two violations.

It's great news (if true) that it isn't because of a recent positive, but it still isn't strictly because of the two positive tests as you claimed in numerous posts in this thread.

Since Goodell isn't exactly generous when it comes to overturning these things, Quanterous Smith (5th round DE from WKU) may have just become umpteen times more important

The more I learn about this guy the more I like. Could end up being an enormous steal

The argument was whether he had three offenses, not semantics of "test positive."

Either way, he needs to wise up. The best way to avoid these problems is to take care of business. Even if he missed tests, it would be multiple tests. He needs to be aware that this can happen.

Sooo, in other news, we've now lost Dan Koppen. And JD Walton. And CJ Davis. All centers, so for now we're down to Ramirez as the current center.

Ugh! I just saw that too. I guess that Ramirez has had some experience at Center, but losing Koppen is huge. I guess that places Philip Blake at #2 on the depth chart. Any news regarding severity of CJ Davis' ankle injury? This is when Heckert and Russell are being missed.

That sucks. Heard the news earlier, very bummed.

I really hope they don't sign Jeff Saturday to appease Manning. I watched that guy "play" last year, and by play, I mean get his A kicked.

Tough loss though. Hope we can avoid further setbacks....

It sucks that Koppen went down, but it probably happened at the best time possible. They just signed Steve Vallos. Whoever starts at center will have plenty of time to get lots of repetitions and work in before the season starts.

I thought Dan Koppen played well last year despite what I've read from other sources.Jeff Saturday was pretty bad in GB.He was benched for a mediocre option.I'm not sure there is a decent option at this point but Peyton should make the guy who's there look better than he is.

Hillman has made a big jump in camp and his pass blocking has improved. This led Woody Paige to predict a 1000 yard season. We all know Woody can get a little nuts sometimes, actually all the time.I still see Ball being the one with the most carries,if not right away very soon.
