Invesco is a nice stadium, but it has nowhere near the feeling that Mile High had. Ticket prices have gotten so high, the true fan is left at home while the wine and cheese crowd attends the game and sits on their collective hands. Result? Home field advantage lost, and the Broncos home record shows it.
Unfortunately this is very well said. I miss going to games at Mile High.

I went to the Seahawks game last year. What disappointed me was the section in which I sat had as many Seahawks fans as Broncos fans, and those fans were not exactly respectful; a lot of smack talking. I think of my uncle who had the good fortune of being able to attend a Broncos game in Kansas City back in 98. Out of respect (and fear) he didn't wear anything Broncos nor did he outwardly root for the Broncos. It didn't seem like this was as prevalent in the old Mile High. Mile High was truly the Broncos' stadium.

It used to be that the Broncos would get at least 7 wins at home, and their season would ride on how many they could pick up on the road. Home losses were rare...they just didn't happen. Not anymore.

You're right, Scissors, visiting team's fans have invaded Invesco. It's really quite sad. Denver has never been a hostile stadium regarding other team's fans, at least not from what I have seen. I remember going to games back in the 80's and seeing a fan of the opposing team was rare. Things are definitely different now, though. My last game that I went to was Denver's Sunday night win over Pittsburgh. The number of Steeler fans there was unbelievable. I know they travel well, but still... that would have never happened a decade ago.

Beautiful view from the south stands. I sat in the "south stands" at the Seahawks game, Invesco south stands ain't no Mile High south stands.

I sat in the south stands back on October 4th, 1992 vs the Colts. Broncos won that game 38-0. That was an experience, I felt like I was in the intersanctum of Bronco Mania while sitting in the south stands.

Hopefully with Elway at the helm, Invesco can begin to transform into the true modern Mile High.

I rather Elway fix the team first then work on making Invesco's experience equivalent to the old Mile High.

                Per Rotoworld.

                This is scary

"Unless [he] gets hurt in training camp or is absolutely awful," adds Wyche. A previous report from colleague Jason LaCanfora suggested the Broncos will "hold firm" to a second-round price tag for Kyle Orton, though Wyche believes they will end up settling for a third-rounder. The Broncos will then look to sign Jake Delhomme as a mentor once he's released by the Browns. NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks, who worked under coach John Fox for four years in Carolina, is also convinced Tebow will start

As long as he truly is a mentor, he should be able to help Tebow get up to speed with Fox's system. I just hope they have a capable third stringer so Tebow isn't the next one to put on a helmet when Tebow gets rocked trying to gain an extra yard.

For some reason I think (assuming they get a nice back like D. Williams) Tebow can do just fine as the starter this year in a run first offense.

                    Tebow > Delhomme > Quinn

                    That is downright scary.

Basically I'm just saying it's nowhere near as scary if they're spending most of their time handing off to someone like DWill. Especially if it's Tebow, who will get some attention for being able to take off as well, but definitely no faith in Delhomme or Quinn (forgot he was the other there) on that level if (and definitely when) the backup is needed. The running back(s) is definitely the key but it's doable.

Brady Quinn had a hard enough time holding onto the snap when he spot started for Orton. Tripped over his own feet, he looked like a new born calf.

Simple tasks wont automatically make it easy for horrible players like Quinn.

My thoughts are Tebow has a head on his shoulders and is committed to helping the team at all cost. Tebow is not a flashy guy who wants the media attention and I firmly believe that the Broncos should hold onto Orton and let Tebow get used to NFL defenses and schemes. One more year behind Orton is not going to hurt Tebow in my opinion is will help him.

Tebow is a great talent and has great character and won't start this crap "start me or I want to be traded". He is a team player so use that to to your advantage and bring him along slowly.

What? Not sure you understood my comment. Did you think I meant Elway was going to make Invesco physically look like Mile High? No, I hope he can assist in the rebuilding of this franchise so Invesco can have the same atmosphere as the old Mile High!

That makes more sense. And then yes I agree with you on that. And I believe Elway has full intentions of doing that. Just hope he doesn't Matt Millen the team, but I think Elway has a much better understanding of building a franchise and judging character example Von Miller than Matt Millen ever did.

I like Orton, just not as Denver's QB. If he lines up behind center to start the season, I'll be really disappointed. Orton is a good QB as long as things develop as planned. If things break down, he doesn't have the ability to make a play. I haven't ever felt that he can bring Denver back or make a play out of nothing when it's needed. I get that feeling with Tebow. The last time I felt that was with, well...Elway.

I'd rather see Denver go 6-10 with Tebow than go 8-8 or 9-7 with Orton. They have to find out what they have.
