So, for anyone who hasn't seen this, here is what our offensive line is about to dive into:

This is where landing Jeff Saturday would be monumental, because he'd be a second instructor to the offensive line on what Peyton Manning is talking about.

It's going to be freaking awesome seeing him do that in a Bronco uniform!

I heard Saturday was in Denver right now.

No biggie. I wasn't really into the NFL when the Colts left so I was just joking, but to this comment... REALLY???

lol. Seriously though, Baltimore lost their team and it's history. Old Colts don't have a home bc they have no relation to Indy and aren't connected at all to the Ravens. Allowing the team name to walk away was the worse decision in NFL history (may be a small exaggeration but you get my drift). Then add the years it took for an obvious football town to get another team. The following of the Stallions in the CFL was insane considering they played in Baltimore. Attempts to bring in a team were blocked, etc.

The recent SB means more to ME because the Ravens are the first Baltimore NFL team I got behind, and is more recent. But overall, the Baltimore Colts were a storied franchise that probably would still be here if they were able to keep Elway (who ended up with 2 SB).

I'm sure the Cleveland Browns fans feel your plight. Talk about a jumbled mess of history.

John Elway bails on Baltimore, ends up torching the Browns several times, then the Browns move to Baltimore and become the Ravens. That's a LOT of Elway-hating right there. XD

And we win a Superbowl and steal their Steelers rivalry (not to mention, the Orioles upset their best chance to make it to the WS at the time we got the team too).

In the end they still win though, because they got to keep their name. Can you imagine if Jim Brown's legacy needed to be tied to Baltimore? That's the case with Johnny Unitas right now.

That's a good point. Very rare that a settlement must be reached where a team moves, but is considered an expansion team and the history remains with the city. Perplexing.

Also, when the Ravens won, they had Shannon Sharpe, which saddened me greatly that year.

Well, so much for Jeff Saturday. He signed with the Packers.

                    Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread

The Broncos missing out on Saturday is surprising to me. I thought there would have been a huge HUGE huge draw with Manning going to Denver. I guess it just goes to show that we, as fans, have very little insight on what's going to happen regardless of what seems to make the most sense (to us).

There was a ton of talk about how Manning was going to go somewhere and bring his 'friends' with him. Nope. I am happy about the Tamme signing, but what's funny is that I never heard his named really mentioned in the 'friends' list that would follow. I'm actually glad they got Tamme instead of Clark. Clark has had his share of inuries...

Yeah, that whole theory was blown apart quickly. For Saturday, going to the Packers was a sure-fire choice for a Super Bowl.

I'm happy with Tamme over Clark. Then add Dreessen to the mix and e have some nice TEs. Now we just need to worry about DT, RB, and CB in the draft.

I think Denver's OLine is good as is, IMO.

I don't disagree, but Saturday would have brought a lot with him because of his past relationship with Manning. He was awesome with his line calls.

Yeah, I was pretty high on our O-Line through the season. I think this is more about the comfort level the Broncos have with JD Walton. I'll take this as a good sign for Walton. I think we have one of the better offensive line units in the league, and they're only going to get better. Knock on wood for injuries, but we should be set for a while if these kids stay together.

I saw something where Denver is being strongly considered to open up their season at home against the Steelers on Sunday night. I understand the primetime draw, but I was kinda hoping for a 'warm-up' game for Manning to get things going.

Guess what's coming if Manning doesn't beat the Steelers at home.

I'd rather open with the Browns at home. But wouldnt be shocked to see Steelers or even the Saints. Saints solely on the theory that the two biggest off season news stories was Manning to Denver and Saints Bounty. And just think if Parcells takes over for this year. Big media circus for that one.
