McDaniels finally goes on the radio with the local guys

He's definitely smart, hopefully it translates.

Orton may not be the talent Cutler is, but I feel like he'll fit in well with the Broncos and Mcdaniels.

Alot of you guys are, obviously, pissed with Cutler's "diva-ness". While I may not agree 100% with that assessment, I can guarantee you with Orton, you wont be seeing behavior that even remotely resembles that.

Kyle has been nothing but a class act during his stay in Chicago (minus a few instances in regards to drinking, which never became a problem). While he was here he was dealt a raw hand and never once complained about it publicly and never had any sort of entitlement.

While I'm extremely happy to have a franchise type QB in Chicago, it is sad to see KO go. He was extremely classy during his time here and remained extremely professional throughout, what I thought, was unfair treatment during his tenure.

Thanks for this find Guru. Everytime I hear him speak I feel good about the situation. I will miss the old era because we experienced it for so long, but this is a fresh restart that will be great for the franchise. Like you said, you are a fan of the franchise, as am I, regardless of what players come and go.

I'm not sure about Al but I'm off the ledge, lol.

Thanks Zeke for this honest, well thought out series of comments. I can definitely understand your excitement and I won't even attempt to rain on your parade.

After hearing Coach McD's interviews as well as the player's (:wink all that can be said is that it had to be done. Chicago got what they wanted and I feel the Broncos got more than I expected in return.

How will we know if the deal was a good one? Like Coach McD said, "when we win football games." That can be said for both franchises.

Overall pleased with Kyle Orton. Obviously love the draft picks. Just happy Cutler is gone. Did see an interview with Marshall about the whole situation, he had nothing but good things to say about Kyle.

Just saw some info on the NFL Channel during one of their breaks. Cutler nixed any possibility to play for the Browns because he won't play for Mangini. Also talk that the Broncos are still interested in Quinn. May be offering up that 18 pick for him. Sounds like speculation right now. I don't know, I am digging the thought of Kyle Orton as QB1.

i hope that is just a rumor. I am happy with Orton right now, and would hate to give up this years extra first rounder for Quinn. To me that seems like it would just defeat the purpose of getting Orton in the trade in the first place.

Man, wouldn't it though! Those two first rounders could shore up that defense, and then have 8 picks to go. I like Quinn, I was hoping he was the return QB in the trade, but, man I don't know.

Yea I am good with Orton. I say keep Orton and keep the two picks. I enjoyed the idea of Quinn originally, but happy with Orton and two picks.

Quinn would be a bad idea. It would be more like the Broncos got Quinn, a backup QB, next year's 1st round pick and this year's 3rd for Cutler. Doesn't sound nearly as good.

I would love to have Quinn.

He can dink and dunk. I think he would start right away, too. It would be his 3rd year

Pretrade, I can understand but now? Broncos signed Sage and traded for Orton. I guess the thought may be that Orton would be shipped to Cleveland? If they trade a QB I doubt they want one back. I think it'd be wasting the draft pick to go after Quinn at this point. Stick with Orton, use the draft pick on defense.

It just seems a little fishy that we got Orton when there was potential to get Jason Campbell or someone else.

Orton doesn't have a long term contract. It would make sense to have Orton, the veteran, for this year and have him and Quinn battle it out all year long, or have Sanchez (if we draft him) ride the bench for the first year.

However, if getting Quinn meant giving up one of our 1st rounders, I'd say no
