    emalloy,

Orakpo could be our best draft pick in a while. It helps that Big AL is in there though. I feel like a lot of people look at Al's contract and immediately say he isn't worth it but Carter is having a Vander Bosch (sp) like season. Yeah he gets hurt every game but he always goes back in there.

Looks like CP is going to get his starting spot back. I don't know about that. Betts seems to run a lot better when he is the starter compared to just spelling CP. I think CP is done as a feature back.
Well there is dannys favorite player for you. I dont want to see him unless its 3rd down. But Portis is getting starting money so he is going to start.

Yeah, this is going to be interesting. Betts runs for 100 yards and gets sat. CP is gonna come back against a good Dallas front 7 and proabably won't look that great, and that will stir something up in the media.

IDK though, first time all year the Oline looked like a cohesive unit. Could be a sign of the times????

If we can just find a decent Center then we can build around this young oline unit. On the Rodgers thing you'll have to excuse my language but **** him and his attitude he's lucky i'm not the coach or i'd deactivate his ***!

Weird that it would come against a good defensive team like Denver with a stud pass rusher.

I agree about CP. I'm expecting around 40-60yds with a low YPC and a long run of 7 where he runs behind his blockers and closes his eyes and falls forward.

I think the Levi Jones may be the best move we pulled off this season. He had a pretty good game against the Broncos and looks like he is eager to prove something out there. I hope they really light a fire under him this week, seeing as though he is going up against DeMarcus Ware, which will be a huge test. Stephon is back at his natural position at right tackle. This is the best our offensive line has looked since losing Chris and Randy.

As far as CP goes. I think he still got it. I may be one of the few, but I think its all about who is blocking for him. If he has a solid offensive line, I think he can get you good numbers. I like him and Ladell sharing the back field, to switch things up. Even mixing Rock Cartwright in there as well.

Betts looked too good to back to bench duty/spelling Portis.

Portis the tortoise needs to be shown the exit. That would be the beginning to resurrecting this franchise, and then if Vinny follows...you'd have to assume things would be THAT much better.

              What is Jason Campbell's future?

Yeah, Betts looks like one of those backs that is better in the lead role where he can get into a groove.

I think JC is done in DC. He hasn't shown any kind of consistency to warrant a new contract here. I know he hasn't been given anything regarding stability but at 27 (28 by the time the '10 season starts) he is pretty much a known commodity as far his strengths/weaknesses are. It will be interesting to see what the market is. I know Oakland likes Big QBs who can throw the ball downfield, lol.

Well i was glad to see Rock do his thing even though we didnt win. Furthers my belief you dont need to waste money on a halfback as more teams go to a 2 back system and you find great players when the greats go down.

Man, this season just won't end. The injuries along the Oline are just comical at this point. Coming off the best game the Oline had all season IMO against Denver they lose Chad. You could tell that Campbell actually trusted this group in the Dallas game, he kept his eyes down field and stood tall in the pocket to deliver the ball, while taking some pretty good shots from Dallas. Honestly, this front office CAN NOT draft a QB we need to completely rebuild the Oline. Look at the QB's in the NFL that will be starting this weekend. Gradkowski, Boller, Quinn, Fitzpatrick, Cutler, Freeman to name a few. Great QB are far and few between (Manning 18, Brady, Brees). QB isn't this teams problem right now. It is the Oline, we need young linemen who can play in this league before we do anything else. Vinny and Danny have to see that now.

Tough loss, we need a similar performance against Philly. This was also the first game where I was pissed at Fat Albert. He plays, they shut out Dallas, and Barber doesn't have anything close to the game he has. That was an inspired defensive performance.

So they add Bartel at QB? I have no idea what the front office is doing/thinking.

Never understood the lovefest people here have with Betts. I mean we've seen him do this before and then was rewarded with a contract extension, which people were saying was ridiculous and then once he proved he wasn't worth the money, people wanted him gone. But now all of a sudden they want him over Portis as the lead back? Granted Portis has had a rough year with the injuries but I wouldn't be so quick to dump on him already. Just my .02

R.I.P. Taylor... I still believe he would've been better than Ed Reed and that's not easy for a Ravens fan to admit.

I agree with you on Betts too.

Well heres my stance. Running backs come from nowhere. We dont need to waste to much money on one back. When Betts came in and did well it justified my stance imo. The next year, you cant use that to judge betts. Betts showed he could handle the full load and took it well. When they wanted him to split time with portis it didnt work well for a few reasons. IMO Portis isnt the kind of back to like a 2 back system, IMO Betts has shown me he plays better when pleying in the game not just thrown in for 2 or 3 carries, and third those 2 backs are very similar. They run with more power than speed but are still pretty quick with cuts. If you run a 2 back system you need different kinds of backs.

I dont think he was proved he wasnt worth the money i think the redskins showed how they like to pay money for stupid reasons. Betts was supposed to split the carris that next year. If you look at the box scores they stopped doing it by like week 4. This goes back to you shouldnt use these 2 backs for a 2 back system.

As for people wanting back, well they see he can be sucessful. I dont know what it was, Portis' fault or not, but when he left the game our running backs no longer ran into the back of our lineman for 2 yards. Then Cartwright goes in and does well to. We have portis in for a half and no offense, he goes down and we start running all over the place. Why keep portis in?

At this point Betts hasnt really shown any issues when hes a full time back. We just need a line running backs will do their thing. Aside from the truely special (AP, CJ) then i dont see the point to waste money on a back. I like what denver used to do. Develop these backs make them look great then trade them away for a number 1 cornerback .

Personally i feel the portis is overrated and betts is underrated. Imo portis gets the edge with blocking and experiance but betts does still have fresh legs whereas i question how much longer portis can be a feature back anway.
