Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
Hey, I've been meaning to bring this up for a while... I'm sure a bunch of you guys listen to ESPN 980. Anybody ever notice that they say "BSPN" going into breaks? At first I thought I was hearing things but that's definitely what they say.Comment

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
This bye week was great. I got NFL red zone. 8 hours of football no comercials, I got to see touchdowns!!!!!! I forgot what that was like. In all seriousness, I'm glad the skins are back this week. Call me crazy, but I still would rather watch them and scream and yell at the TV than watch games that don't interest me. That said, I will be keeping my redzone because it is just a fantastic idea.
I found out about Redzone before the season started and man it's great but if you play fantasy football it is like heaven on earth!!My teams:
NFL:Washington Redskins
NCAAFB:Notre Dame
NBA:Los Angeles Lakers
NCAABB:Georgetown Hoyas

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
I just found out about 106.7 becoming the fan. I've caught bits and pieces but I still like a lot of the shows on 980. Need to give the new troops a chance though. The little I've heard of the Lavar show sounds pretty good. Did you notice them say "BSPN" on 980?Comment

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
i hear it all the time and i endorse that sentiment. the fan is pretty good too, i listen from time to time. i think the thing that gets me with 980 is knowing it is only a matter of time before a lot of the shows either get killed or "muted" by snyder being that he owns the station. if he won't allow critical signs in the stadium by people giving him money then he isn't going to stand for critical statements from people he is giving money. he is just right up there with the worst owners in sports and he will not learn his lesson in my lifetime so whateva...Comment

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
JT show is great. i have had mixed feelings on doc walker in the past. but i think i like his no nonsense stuff. main thing i can't stand is his and theismann's constant sticking up for the players and their optimism. i don't need to hear joey t saying the team has a chance to turn this thing around, I AM NOT BLIND FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!Comment

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
Doc couldn't carry a show by himself. I think that was the problem. I liked him before and after that. B Mitch helped (and I think can carry a show actually). I think Theisman just looks at what COULD help things turn around and states them in a way that is positive. I don't (at least recently) see him making statements that are too crazy, just not likely to actually happen. I also don't listen to him in the morning when he's got his own show once a week (Mondays?) so it may be worse on there. Doc on the JT show I think is great.Comment

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
oh joey t is definitely worse on his show. that is what i was referring to. this week he was talking about how all the teams in the nfc east have to play the same schedule so the 'skins have a chance to get back into the race, yada yada yada. he must have been hitting the pipe hard before the show, that or he is watching a totally different team than every other person on the planet. i personally think he is posturing for a job within the organization and thinks sucking up to snyder is the best way in. ah who knows and at this point who cares...
The way I take it (and pretty much most of the stuff he says just seems to have an optimistic look on reality) is the Skins have the talent to compete in the conference (which I agreed with coming into the season) and their problems are with the mess around things, so if they can come out of the bye with those things straightened out a bit, there's still time to get back in. Generally speaking, I don't think the thought is all that crazy, especially with the kinks we've seen in the armor of the other 3 teams. The problem is it's not accounting for the injuries. Thomas, Samuels and Cooley are injuries at any franchise would struggle to overcome... and we're talking about one who has ignored depth on the oline for years AND has all the other problems that realistic people know won't be sorted out with just a bye week.Comment

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
I didn't realize that fans couldn't bring cardboard signs and banners to home games until I read the Snyder interview yesterday in my paper. Wow. **** that ****.
