I'm not surprised about this decision by the Redskins since they are planning to switch to a 3-4 defense and Albert Haynesworth's game does not lend to playing nose tackle or a 5-tech end. Playing either one of these positions in a 3-4 scheme would really restrict Haynesworth and his ability to make plays against the pass as he won't be asked to get after the quarterback nearly as often as he would like.

And I agree with what N51_rob posted above. Despite being a proven productive player who is capable of dominating games at times, demand for Haynesworth is going to be low because other teams aren't going to want to absorb his enormous contract. And a lot of teams have already locked up their nose tackles prior to the start of the free agency period.

Here is my question(s). If Okung goes 2, how far back can we go and still aquire Trent Williams?

If we miss out on both Okung and Williams and are sitting at say 8 with guys like Joe Haden, Eric Berry and the "other" QB there whats the move to make?

How many picks do the skins think they can get for the number 4 if one of the DT is available at 4, becuase the Lions moved on Okung?

What could possibly be done to make this draft an A in yours eyes? (In mine there is pretty much nothing that can really save a draft in which we have 1 pick in the top 100. FWIW)

If Okung goes then they take Williams. That's all I see... I've got blinders on when it comes to that pick. Now if one of the top 2 DEs are there then entertain trading down, but I think Williams will go at #5 if the Skins don't take him. They could probably get someone acceptable if they drop down in the top 12 but they better also get a steal with whatever other pick they get for trading down. If they trade out of the top 12 for whatever reason, there's no way they get an A for the draft.

I also still think Campbell will be moved on Friday for a 4th or 5th round pick. They can have an A draft. Will they? That's another question.

Man, I hope they draft Okung..That's all I want then I can go to bed. Would't mind Berry either though. Want that big tackle.

That's how I'd felt after listening to all the talking heads about Okung, but it sure sounds like Williams is pretty good too and a better fit for Shannahan's system.

Well, I'm glad that we have finally addressed the Oline. Look at that Mr. Snyder, you are now free to pretty much avoid drafting another Olinemen for the next 10 years.

We could probably use another OT, or OG depending on what is there when we pick again in the 12th round, if we still have our 12th round pick this year.

damn, i like the lb from lsu but they SHOULD have taken campbell, steal at that point in the draft and they would have had their bookend tackles for the next 10 years (possibly)...

I'm going to hold off grading this draft class and see how these guess pan out. As far as need, I think we address that in areas like the O-Line. With the trade of Campbell, I really think we need to draft a QB next season to prepare for the future, I don't think the QB's in this draft were must have outside of Sam Bradford.

Bruce Campbell wasn't that good at MD, he just blew everyone away with his measurable at the combine. Workout Warrior to the fullest.
