Its 1 game. They obviously should have won this game. If this was last year we would be 0-3. I have faith that McAdoo will have this cleaned up shortly.

Now with Vereen being out for an extended period is going to hurt. Hopefully Jennings is back this week.

The next 2 weeks are going to be tough test.

      Let's talk about McAdoo.

Obviously the jury is still out but how do we feel 3 games in? This guy told the media that OBJ needs to control his actions and stop being a distraction.

I don't like it. First of all, talk to your player and keep what you tell him to your self, if he's a distraction and needs to tighten up, let him know and tell the media it's handled. To me that's how it should have been done.

Alternatively, OBJ isn't a distraction. What pissed me off is the head coach telling our best player to control his emotions because of a sideline outburst and we lost the game because our team was undisciplined and played like idiots. Is that not a reflection of the coach?

All this talk about "protecting the Duke" and here we are - 6 in turnover ratio after 3 weeks.

Re: Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread

They lost 1 game! Its was a very ugly game. Turnovers and penalties killed the team this week. Lets not burying them just yet.

And yes OBJ is a distraction. No need to overreact when stuff isnt going right. Throwing your helmet, hitting a kicking net(that ends up getting the best of you) and crying on the sideline is a bit to much. All the cameras are on him. Be a teammate 1st. Flip out behind closed doors.

Now if they look this bad the next 2 weeks. Then I'll be scared.

Re: Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread

We lost one ugly game and haven't put together a full game yet from our whole team. No one is burying anyone, but we need answers. This team doesn't look vastly different problem wise from the team we had last year, and his entire intention was to focus on taking care of the ball, and we can't even do that.

Meanwhile, OBJ is a distraction how? He does his job, he gets super emotional but doesn't take it out on teammates and didn't cause any penalties on the field, but he's the one you want to single out (talking about McAdoo here not you)? We lost a game because of stupid play, and that reflects directly on the coach. Doesn't make any sense for this guy to come out and publicly criticize a player when the team just played that game.

We just blew a game to the Redskins, who were 0-2 and a division rival, nothing that happens against Minnesota or Baltimore will tell me more about the team than the game we just played.

Only difference between this team and last year is we're lucking out in the end to win. But seems that's stopping. If you think we're cleaning it up against Minnesota.....

Also Eli is regressing. He doesn't even read the field anymore. He's just so obsessed with releasing the ball quickly. OBJ Shep and Cruz is being wasted right now. And that's saying something.

I just think we need a bigger sample size of this team before we can say that their not good and talents at being wasted. Almost every team has 1 of those games that just doesn't go right. We may have been lucky the 1st 2 games. The Giants always seem to play down to their opponents level. Now lets see what they can do against the Vikings and Packers.

Sorry I just have faith that this team is better then what they have showed thus far.

I have faith that the teams true talent level is higher than what we've shown, I just wish I had more faith that we would eventually show it. This has been an issue for years.

Monday is going to be interesting.

My confidence isn't high going into this next game. Just don't see it happening for our offense. We've played three bad defenses and performed well below where we should've. GG.

This is a Vikings team with no Teddy, no AP, and no Matt Khalil.

I certainly feel this game is winnable.

JPP on OBJ being a distraction:

"I don't care what the coach said. I don't care about that. I'm here to play football. That's not my problem. That's nobody's problem."

Those three guys aren't really the difference makers for this Minnesota team. Especially not Matt Khalil.

Starting QB, LT, and HB. Their absence is definitely a difference maker.

Teddy isn't that guy. Bradford can and has given them the same output. Peterson has been a marginal RB for a minute now. And any Vikings fan will tell you they've been waiting for Khalil to be replaced on this team for years.

I think this is an interesting match up for us. Their biggest asset on defense is their pass rush, our biggest asset on offense is how quickly Eli gets the ball out and allows his receivers to make a play. Paul Perkins is a guy who we got a lot of praise for drafting so I'm excited to see how he looks out there.

Defensively, losing your starting LT can only help our pass rush, which is having trouble finishing plays. AD being out is still preferable to him being in, but McKinnon is no scrub. I think we can take this but I wouldn't put a bet on us. A win here would be huge for confidence though.
