Re: Official San Francisco 49ers thread
sweet we got Singletary aboard...Maybe all these personall moves will convince Julian Peterson to take a nice offer for next season and to help the 9ers build a better defensive core. -

Re: Official San Francisco 49ers thread
"I loved him as a kid, watching him," Peterson said at the 49ers' training complex, where he's doing rehabilitation work for his torn Achilles' tendon. "I remember his eyes. ... It will be great for a lot of linebackers to pick his brain. Hopefully this new staff can come in and get this whole ship turned around."Comment

Re: Official San Francisco 49ers thread
Looks like Rathman might not be able to join the Niners staff...
“I have talked with Tom, but Tom has got a contract and I don’t think anything will be further on that horizon. They won’t release, I don’t think so,” Nolan said. “I don’t know that first hand. When they gave him a contract, and there are certain contracts where you say ‘oh, I can challenge that’ and there’s other ones you go ‘they must really like that guy.’”
Looks like Sulivan might be on board to coach the receivers.
From Miami Herald quote from Nolan:
''Jerry is an excellent coach,'' Nolan said at a news conference. ``Most people I know in the NFL say he's clearly the best wide receivers coach in the league.''
Sullivan is regarded as one of the NFL's premier wide receiver coaches, but it appears Dolphins coach Nick Saban is poised to hire Minnesota's Charlie Baggett as Sullivan's replacement. Baggett worked with Dolphins offensive coordinator Scott Linehan the past three seasons at Minnesota.
Meanwhile, Nolan said he hoped to have the rest of his staff hired by next week. The hirings are likely to include Jerry Sullivan, who coached Miami's wide receivers last season, to do the same thing for Nolan.Last edited by Brandwin; 01-22-2005, 03:56 PM.Comment
