I think Rattay is the best quarterback on the Niners. if he can get an O-line to block for him and stay healthy he should be fine.

Yeah, its either that or draft Rogers.

I dont think Rattay will ever finish a whole season healthy. Just look at his history. Even behind a solid offense line, he is not mobile enough to stay out of harms way. Dorsey is a career back-up QB. Not to say that is a bad thing, but he is not going to take a team to the promise land. I think we can stand at least one more season of Rattay/Dorsey/Pickett and draft something else in the first round this year. Whoever the Niners take in the 1st has to play a lot this year.

Rattay is the best quaterback the niners have at the moment, but is that saying a lot? There are always those players that are 'prone to injury', and being a QB, thats a horrible sign for the future. At the QB position you need stability, consistancy, leadership and toughness.. I'm not quite sure Rattay holds any of that. I hope he proves me wrong.

Signing Garcia wouldn't be a bad idea as long as he takes a major pay cut..
                I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can't

Garcia would almost have to play for the league mim for me to be happy with them signing him. I want to move on with the future.

I agree about Rattay being injury prone that. Its a big concern/.

                                49ers nab McCloughan

                                http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1981971

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers hired Scot McCloughan, Seattle's director of college scouting, to be the head of their personnel department on Tuesday.

McCloughan, who got a five-year contract worth around $4 million, will be formally introduced as vice president of player personnel at a news conference Wednesday, the team announced. He replaces Terry Donahue, who was fired last month following a 2-14 season
