Re: NHL 14 Player Faces List
Something interesting that I found today, a couple of Blue Jackets visited EA to take a tour last week. Michael Chaput, Mark Letestu, and David Savard, looks like only the healthy scratches could make it. A CBJ fan could correct me if I'm wrong on that..
Chaput did motion capture, and I'm assuming they all took scans so their faces could make it in next year

Re: NHL 14 Player Faces List
Although I was disappointed this year with the amount of players scanned, this is promising news. It's pretty much guaranteed that for next gen, we should be getting a minimum of 3/4 of each team's face scanned. I would assume if these guys' faces from Columbus are getting scanned, EA will make the effort to get more significant players (Anisimov, Atkinson, Boll, Johansen, Johnson, Tyutin, Wisniewski, etc) into the game as well.
Over on this thread (http://www.operationsports.com/forum...elp-us-27.html) they introduced a tool to customize players faces. You guys have probably seen it, but are any of you using it? If so, how complicated is it to use? Thanks.Comment

We'll see soon enough if what you said is true, if EA makes presentation a focus scanning players will play a big part in that and they'll make a big deal about it in their dev diaries, blog posts, twitter, etc.
As for the tool it's awesome. Figuring it out was kind of trial and error for me though and I haven't tried to use it for a while. I recommend trying it if you haven't, once you start the process it isn't that difficult at all.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Player Faces List
There's no mystery involved in replacing players faces with ones that look closer. Just use Artem's NHLview and on each players info tab there's a face ID space. Change the number there to that of the better face, which has already been figured out for you for virtually every team if you read through the entire thread.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Player Faces List
I can confirm Tim Thomas has a cyber (962). Others I have reason to believe that they do, but haven't confirmed.
Radek Bonk (88), Martin Gerber (298), Ales Kotalik (466), David Vyborny (1015), Alexei Yashin (1059). All those players have the same audio, portrait, and head IDs which is extremely common among players with a cyber.NHL REVAMPED TEAM

Re: NHL 14 Player Faces List
Lots of good news for real faces in NHL 15. The Game Informer article says that NHL has been using the same tech as UFC for likenesses, which probably means they've been using the portable camera rig and going to the teams themselves for scans. Those events always get leaked through the teams themselves so we will see soon enough.
Also yesterday Eddie Lack was scanned the same way Letestu and Savard were at EA.

Re: NHL 14 Player Faces List
looking back at how ea treated this part of the game in the last few years, i remain (very) sceptical.
the announcements made alongside the teaser-trailer sound great, but i'll believe it when i see it in september.
that said... if there isn't a major overhaul in presentation (especially player faces etc) i'm out for the next few years.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Player Faces List
You play games like MLB The Show and NBA 2K and every single player has a cyber. NHL has to do the same. I just can't understand why they don't give all the players cybers. They have the rights to the players and they feel that slapping a name on the back is good enough. As others have said, I'll believe it when I see it.NHLREVAMPED - Aesthetics ExpertComment

Re: NHL 14 Player Faces List
If they haven't updated him yet, tomorrow would be a good time to do it; he and many others will be at the Awards show Wednesday. The players are going to have to take a lot of photos and sit through a lot of interviews, but they probably wouldn't mind sitting in a scanning booth for a few minutes to get their face in the game.Comment
