Despite me still sucking I can’t stop playing. Going to finally start a franchise today as soon as I can decide on a team. I’ve narrowed it down to CBJ, Blackhawks, Sabres, and Red Wings.

Take my Blue Jackets! Lots of good young talent and actually somewhat decent so far this year (really helps that the back 2/3 of the East are not over the top awesome so far this season)

So I just bought the game as it is on sale for $27. I just played the Stanley Cup game while I am waiting the full game to download. I lost 6-0. Two reasons why. First, I lost every face off. 33-0 on face offs. How the hell do you win a face off? Second, I had 29 penalty minutes to 9 for the cpu. Most of the game I was playing 5 on 3. Once I figure out what I am doing it looks to be fun.

We have a slider update coming out this weekend. So stay tuned. Basically I can tell you we are most likely having even weighted to both the HUM and CPU now that I have 70 plus hours under my belt with NHL 25.



I also am on the same gameplay tuning from the update before this latest one (the update when we got real coaches). I have held off on the latest gameplay update for now.



I may be in the minority but I love this game.

Absolutely loving the sliders so far, Armor. Sorry if this has been addressed, but how are you handling the “off-ice settings”? Sim engine goals, shots, and draft class options?

I think I just figured out the face offs. You have to hold left or right and then roll the stick down, not jam it toward down if that makes sense.

Kind of like doing a move in Street Fighter.

Hockey is my favourite sport and I have been highly critical of this series, essentially since the introduction of the skill stick. I don't remember the last time I bought an NHL game on release. It might be a decade ago now, and that's honestly not an exaggeration. I have often bought it later though during the spring sale, or waited for it to hit the vault.

When I saw you had released this set I knew I had to give it a go.

I just tried my first full game of 25 (on the trial), and oh boy.
I try to play realistically all over the ice. I don't play sports games to win, I play to have as much fun as possible and yeah, this was the most fun I've had playing a full NHL game in years.

Shots: 26-26
Hits: 21-22
PP: 0/2 - 1/2

Beautiful.

I might just have to purchase it before the sale ends...

Game isn’t perfect (show me one that is), and even though I suck really bad I’m having fun with the game and it has me watching hockey for the first time since Lindross was a Flyer.

I’ve lost a bunch of games late or in OT and thought for sure it was going to happen again but I was able to match their pace and score three goals late in this absolute shootout.
