You feel good about that series? I think the Bruins can give them a good series.Comment

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
I think Boston can beat them, if they get bounces to go their way and Rask plays well. Not having Savard and a banged up defensive core is going to hurt though. I still think it'll be Boston in 6 or 7 though.Comment

I think so too. I like the Bruins. So I will root for them. Though I do like Buffalo. I like Miller and their Forwards.Comment

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
Yeah Miller is a beast, and they have some great players as well, Myers comes instantly to mind. At any rate it should be a good series and I'm eager to see how Rask handles playoff hockey. Seems Boston has a habit of screwing the Leafs. Rask, draft picks etc. hehComment

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
The Red Wings missing a ton of players for a large portion of the season had a little bit to do with that. The healthy Wings team Phoenix is facing would have not of finished 5 pts behind them or 5th in the conference. The Wings were the hottest team after in the league after the All-Star break and quite frankly they are more talented than Phoenix.
Phoenix post-Olympics: 25-12-4, 54 pts.
And I won't deny that Detroit is probably more talented. Fact is though, proven goaltending counts huge in the playoffs. Howard is going to be an excellent NHL goalie for many years to come, but he doesn't have the big-game experience that Bryzgalov does.Comment

I hate series that end quick, unless it's the Wings, lol. I just love watching the 7th game, nothing is more exciting in any sport.Comment

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
Yeah they did. I don't know much about the draft picks, but that Hall looks like a good player. Though is he better than Kessel? I mean I know they didn't want to sign, but is Hall a better prospect down the road?Comment

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
Kessel comes off to me as immature and selfish and he doesn't want to play in a system that's defense first heavy. While I haven't seen Hall play personally, I was pretty happy to be rid of Kessel and get a pretty good deal for him. Granted you never know if drafted guys will pan out either but I'm not worried about it considering how promising Hall sounds.Comment
