Granted you never know if drafted guys will pan out either but I'm not worried about it considering how promising Hall sounds.
Hall seems to be way more of a "character guy" than Kessel is. BTW Kessel was out of shape basically the entire season. No wonder Dion is going to be wearing the C for the Leafs next year and not him.

On topic, I guess I underestimated Ottawa lol. Hopefully Fleury can play a lot sharper than he did tonight. The last goal he gave up was pretty bad.

I hate to harp on the officiating but that happened right at center to a player who had the puck. That should not be missed.

Right on BnG. Not suprised that he was out of shape coming over either. MAF didn't seem to be tracking the puck well at all tonight, can't blame him on the goal that took the funny bounce off the glass but that last one I agree, he was sooo slow on the reaction on that one. I thought Ottawa was much better defensively as well from 10 mins into the first, on pretty much. Elliot wasn't that great either though to be honest.

The linesman saw it, he was looking right at it during the replay versus showed. I chalked it up to par for the course with how bad the officiating was in that game.

Guess I'll have to find another way to watch Sabres/Bruins Game 1. Seriously NHL, get your f'n act together.

If LA beats the Nucks, I be scared of the Coyotes. They could beat Jimmy Howard, who's been on fire all year for the Wings, and the Wings have been the best team since the Olympic break. Even though we don't know how long they'll stay in Phoenix, this team seems pretty confident. I still think LA can make some noise, but the Coyotes makin' me scared.
              My Teams:
              NCAA FB-Oregon Ducks
              NCAA BB-Gonzaga Bulldogs
              NBA-Portland Trail Blazers
              NFL-Carolina Panthers
              MLB-San Francisco Giants
              NHL-Los Angeles Kings
Won't change this signature until Oregon wins a national championship (started 3/10/10)

It's certainly not going to help stop any of the conspiracy theory talk.
The NHL owns the 'Yotes, the Yotes score 3 PP goals to win game 1 and several calls were missed.

Phoenix's first PP was an absolute joke. Guys were crosschecking and hammering each other all over the ice and Kronwall gets rung-up for a nudge in front of the net. Even the VS guys were scratching their heads how that was called but the previous 12 muggings were not.
                Oh well, that's playoff hockey.

The refs told Lidstrom they thought it was Filppula's stick that got him in the face.

                  LOL.

Well that was a lousy way to start the playoffs. Spent my entire evening at the chiropractor and then Med Express for x-rays on my lower back. He was worried I had a fractured vertebrae (luckily I don't), so he insisted on getting x-rays before he'd do anything. I am missed almost the entire Pens game because when I got home at 8:30, I had to put my daughter to sleep. She got her one year shots and was not happy about it. Good times...

To top it off, they prescribed me steroids -- apparently it's the muscles that wrap around my spine -- so any video game heroics over the next week will have to be marked with an asterisk.

And of course, Penguins are down 1-0. Certainly not time to panic, but it makes game two awfully important.

I'm glad Lidstrom called out the refs for that.

"They said it was Fil's stick. Fil wasn't even close,'' Lidstrom said. "They would have been better off telling me they missed it.''
Phoenix outplayed us and deserved the win. But it drives me nuts when obvious stuff like this isn't called properly.

My God you people bitch a lot. Yes, that was a missed call. We get it. So was the charging call on Doan that should not of been. You guys were outplayed physically that game. The refs had nothing to do with your 1 for 6 PP, which by the way was 2 more opportunities than Phoenix had. I am so sick of hearing about the conspiracies. Don't watch it anymore if you think it's a conspiracy.

No thanks. Unlike 99.99% of Arizona resident's I think I'll continue supporting my team even though my team is down.

So I'm now 1-2 in playoff games I've gone too.

Wow that was a dagger last night. Nabby kept the team in the game the 2nd period and then has that throw towards the net go in.

Hopefully the team shows heart and rebounds.

Take it 1-1 into Colorado, take 1 out of 2 there, and make it a best of 3.
