You're right. There's no "Oh, he's 100% healed up" like there would be for a broken bone or muscle pull or something. It's all unknown. And it's scary because it's your brain. But that's the risks of the game.

Hope it doesn't affect his game too much. He's an amazing player, once in a generation, and it'll be so sad if his career is derailed by this. So young, too! For once, I may actually be rooting for Crosby.

It's amazing that the Pens have been playing so well with all of their injuries. It's really a credit to their team grit and Blysma.

Crosby is an amazing talent. Would you even want Crosby to come back this year for the playoffs? He could get crushed and be out most of next year or longer...

The playoffs are wide open....every team has some flaw. I'm just glad there are no shoot-outs.

Yeah because we all know about Chara's propensity for "clean" hits along the boards.

It was a scary hit and one that Chara didn't need to do. But in the same time he did not mean to slam him into the that side glass. But let's be real there was nothing over blown about the danger of that hit. That was scary as they come.

Boston's completely dominating the Hawks through 2 periods. I'm glad it's only 2-0. Boston has 30 shots already.

The Hawks look massively fatigued. They got nothing tonight. Boston is taking advantage of it and outplaying them.

he didnt HAVE to make the hit, but my point is Ive seen that same type of hit numerous times in the past 25 years. Only when it happens in montreal and especially the Bruins are involved is it made such a big deal. Anywhere else and its not that much of a sideshow.

I remember back in 02 kyle mclaren clotheslined zednik (who was cheapshotting players all series) with about a minute left in game 4. It was a brutal play, but the way the fans and city reacted from it seemed like one of the worst hits the league had ever encountered.

i think every team is fatigued at this time of the season. Crawford was excellent for chicago. He kept them in the game.

Both teams were playing their 3rd in 4 nites, but the main reason chicago wasnt much of a factor was because they are without sharp and bolland.

it dont matter if its the playoffs or next year. if the doctors clear him to play and he feels good, he will play. bc like i mentioned above, you just dont know.

who is to say, hold him out rest of year, they do, comes back, game 1 of pre season gets hit and guess what, concussed again.

its just a great unknown with these concussions, the only way to avoid it, is to retire.

as to the game last night, the Pens played an ok game. coming off 4 hard fought SO wins etc. the Flyers are just deep, took advantage of the Pens being lazy with easy passes they were missing on, scored off of 2 or 3 of them if im not mistaken. cant do that and expect to win against a solid team like that. plus, the lack of a scoring touch in Sid and Gino hurts..they need to win games 3-2, 2-1 (playoff type games), bc they wont win many when giving up 3 or more goals!!

honestly though, if Sid comes back, and is himself, this Pens team even minus Malkin is deeper, WAAY deeper than the Cup team!! i sometimes ponder how that team won the Cup lol..

Crosby has just been cleared by Doctors to start full practices. He is making the trip to Florida with the team.
