What a great Pens game last night. Maybe the best of the year? Kovalev looked so good but just hit the crossbar like 3 times lol. That no-look pass across the ice to Martin was unreal. Neal seemed A LOT more confident and he played a good game. Talbot did very well on the 1st line with Neal and Kovy. Comrie still needs to get into better game shape for sure. Fleury is so sharp and good right now that I truly don't know who can beat us in a 7 game series, especially when we get Orpik and Sid back. Letang is such a good shut-down defenseman all of a sudden, it just sucks that he is not hitting the net as much as he should. Man I am so excited for the playoffs. Beware eastern conference, the Pens are for real!

Kovy, looked good.. but he has to understand, when he slows the game down the guys he is trying to get the puck to, cant play on that type of level. they dont have the anticipation level that Kovy has and all it does is lead to turnovers.. sigh!!

anyway..

if the Flyers lose tonight at the Islanders and lose tomorrow at home vs the Bruins (both in regulation), and the Pens get a win tomorrow vs the Panthers.. A depleted Pens will be 1st in the Atlantic and possibly 1st in the East.. F'n hilarious!! seriously, that is hilarious!! the chances of the Flyers losing back to back in regulation is probably slim, but ya never know!!

You're right about Kovalev. He really is much better than everybody and it does seem like his guys aren't ready for the puck when he sends it to them, but that's why Sid will be perfect with him

It is pretty remarkable that we are only a few points back from 1st in the east when we have been incredibly banged up the last few months. If not for Fleury, we probably wouldn't be anywhere close to the top. Lets go Islanders lol

The shots were 3-1 in the first period. I realize that the Pens play this way out of necessity and the Devils because Jacques Lemaire hates life, but Jesus.

Seems like Kopitar's injury is a broken ankle. Hejduk has 11 straight years with 20+ goals

Completely agree, I assume your referring to what just happened in the Wings game.

Hilarious how Howard can get run over and injured, but yet no penatly call is called, despite it leading directly to a goal. Meanwhile the Wings have had numerous bogus calls and goals waved off for goaltending interference or standing in the crease the last couple of years. Complete and utter bullcrap.

Wouldn't doubt if Howard has a separated shoulder.
