Don't look now but it's a 1 goal game in Florida after 2.

I've seen worse beat better. Ask the Detroit fans in here about 1st round series against teams that had seemingly no chance against the Wings.

Sometime in the last ten games, the Wings implemented their real PK. The other 70 games they were using a decoy PK to lure teams into a false sense of security.

Well they split in Nashville, which is what I hoped for. If they can clean up the turnovers in their own zone (), I have a good feeling about the series.

Edit: 2001 and 2006 playoffs for those who are interested when the Wings got upset in a major way (as long as I've been a hockey fan, circa 1995).

1994 was the worst of all.

Oh my, Vancouver gives up a SH goal with less than 10 seconds left in the period.

Kopitar with a great play to create that goal for the Kings. Brown buries the rebound after an initial great save by Luongo.

Nice goal non-call there, Jim Hughson. Bob Cole would be proud if he remembered who you were.

Thank you NBC sports for that. Cut back to coverage of the game to see Vancouver celebrating.

Trying to think of the last playoff team that was worse than this year's Panthers. '01 Hurricanes? '97 Habs?
I dunno...I kinda like this Panthers team. They aren't exactly power-packed, but I caught a few of their games when I was down that way and I like their toughness. I still think they can win this series.

The '94 loss by the Wings to the Sharks was definitely the worst...I just did not see that coming, and I loudly argued for the breaking up of the team at that point. Reason #8,903 why I am not a general manager....(also, see my comment above).

I picked the Panthers to win the series, in fact. That doesn't mean they're not terrible.

Yeah, even though there was only an 18-point difference between the Wings and Sharks, that one really felt like a massive upset, didn't it? Truly shocking at the time.
