You think there's something to this idea that somehow the PK is better without Lidstrom out there? I mean, I know it's a very small sample size, and it's pretty crazy to even suggest, but it seems pretty coincidental that the PK unit seems to be so much more effective in the playoffs since we relieved St. Nick of shouldering that responsibility. And it's a great way to reduce his overall ice time, and keep him fresher for the rest of the game. Or maybe it's just all the brewskies I had earlier tonight...

So both of the teams I picked to make it to the Cup Finals are down 0-2 and heading on the road the next 2 games. Cool story, bro.
As for the Vezina talk, I prefer Quick just because when LA could hardly put a single puck in the net, he was the one holding the fort and giving them a chance. That said, it would be perfectly fine for Henrik to win as well and I'm guessing he probably will.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. are the canucks seriously about to lose to the kings? I dont know what's gotten into them..not that I like them. But to see a #1 seed lose BOTH of their opening two home games against the #8 seed....doesn't happen very often! :PI like sportz.

Lidstrom's barely been on the PK in the last 3-4 years.Comment

Sacrilege! Nothing's made me laugh more than Bob Cole's senility over the last decade or so. I'd gladly have Cole mangling the Canucks/Kings series for my amusement.

Followed several seconds later by "............SCORE! It's a GOAL!" well after the celebration is underway.Comment

Jim Hughson stole that routine last night. He was convinced that Tanev had somehow stopped Brown's first SH goal. He didn't let the red light, celebrating Kings, or ref pointing at the net dissuade him for a good 10 seconds or so.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that.
