I think they got it right with this class. I think a lot of people would've scratched their heads a bit if Sundin got in but Oates didn't as they were both great players but they were not very flashy.

It's a bit of a double whammy day for Oates as he's the new head coach of the Capitals as well

Someone's got to keep that penalty box chair nice and warm for the rest of the team.

.... They're just pausing for dramatic effect, right? They'll announce Pat Burns anytime now, right?

        What?

Can't believe I'm old enough now to see guys get into the HOF and say I saw the best parts of their career.

          Age is just a number???

Congrats to those guys. All well deserving.

No kidding, really makes you feel old when you remember watching an entire HOF class playing.

            They all definitely deserve it.

Yeah there are so many better bottom pairing dmen available tbh and it's not like they don't have the space, don't understand the point of bringing back Hunwick/O'Brien. And I also don't know why it was 3 yrs...one okay but if it's 3 then it's just taking up a roster spot from Elliott/Barrie/Gaunce and means that one of the older guys will probably have to be waived/traded at some point.

BURNS was left out, too. This is a disgrace.

Just thought everyone could enjoy a nice laugh today. I wonder if Cox knows how to read, cause he definitely can't write...
That article's stupid even by Damien Cox standards.

Yesterday was a big day for Vancouver hockey fans, as the best-ever player from BC and the best-ever Canuck (insert Messier and Sundin jokes here) will enter the Hall in the same class. Congrats to Burnaby Joe and the Russian Rocket.

Which is saying something. You should see what Feschuk wrote! Holy god, that guy needs help.

Once again, I love Jay Feaster. Trades for Wideman and gives him 5 year contract, 5.2m caphit per year. Safe to say he'll have a NTC as well, who doesn't on their team?

Wideman got a NMC, even better. Who didn't see that one coming though?
