If they miss it, can the expansion talk and just move them to Seattle next year.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

They said the team would be called Arizona Coyotes, but I don't see anyone calling them that though(not even NHL)....? I thought that the name change was a for sure thing? And maybe logo change too.Comment

Name change doesn't take effect until 2014/15 season. Haven't heard anything about logo/uni change.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. The Coyotes sale is just delaying the inevitable. They're gone in 5 years.Comment

I thought the folks in Atlanta were bad, but these folks in Glendale take the cake.Comment

Glendale, Atlanta, Toronto? Guess what none of them have done? File for bankruptcy (that I know of). Detroit takes the cake.Comment

I don't see what the fiscal state of Detroit has to do with how well a hockey team is supported and whether it makes sense for the NHL to keep a franchise in a certain location.Comment

re: Fate of Coyotes decided in 2 decades(?)
There are many thriving cities in North America that wouldn't be able to support a hockey team.
Good hockey markets are dictated by how many butts are in the seats and TV ratings; both of which Glendale has failed at.Comment

No one here has a vendetta against Phoenix or that franchise. I actually love Arizona and that area and wish the sport would shine. But it hasn't, won't, and will never. Time to cut your losses and give someone else a shot. The team has been very competitive 3 of the past 4 years, and nothing to show for it.
And no one here claims to be an expert. It's obvious you're too sensitive to be a part of discussion. There's nothing wrong with defending your own, but don't go taking shots at quality posters because you're upset over the truth.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Well, Detroit itself was been run by a series of crooks since Coleman Young got elected in 1974. So it isn't any surprise to me at least that Detroit is declaring for bankruptcy.
However, this doesn't effect the Wings whatsoever. They still have high TV ratings and people will drive an hour plus from the 'burbs to come and sell out the Joe.Comment
