I, personally, just hope they stay away from the name of the team that was up here long ago. I would prefer there be no way I'm considered a "Mets" fan. Then again, we'd have hockey, so I'd get over it quickly.

No clue what I'd want to call them. Wonder if they'd take the Seahawks/Sounders/Thunderbirds color scheme. Wonder if they could use Sonics colors?

Dammit you're all getting me excited. I said I wasn't going to get too invested in this.
I still like going back to the Totems. The logo needs modernized, but it has potential.

How bout Seattle Storm? They'd wear metallic blue uniforms kinda like the Seahawks.

That was the one that's been floated around that I like. And you know they could modernize that quickly.

The Glendale city council couldn't come to an agreement with the potential buyers (RSE) before the deadline today. If RSE is going to come to an agreement, they'll have to agree to a deal that they said is a non-starter (includes a 5 year out option for the city if they are losing money and could make the Coyotes homeless overnight).

              And then there's this...
Glendale has been soliciting bids for Arena managers, without the <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Coyotes&amp;src=hash">#Coyotes</a> as tenants: <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23NHL&amp;src=hash">#NHL</a> <a href="https://t.co/O1FE0piLuh">https://t.co/O1FE0piLuh</a></p>&mdash; Chris Daniels (@ChrisDaniels5)

                  You're out!!!

Pack up your bags, please head north.

I think they should go with a green color scheme. That or I've always been partial to a navy blue and silver.

Even though Spectrum isn't contributing any money, they're claiming they will increase revenue for Glendale. By law, the city council can't vote on these last minute changes by RSE until they post a new deal and they have a ways to go to find a middle ground. There is a 24 hour waiting period between formal agreement and council vote, so they'll pass the NHL deadline. RSE is going to have to convince the city council they'll receive more revenue without guaranteeing any of it and convince the NHL to wait on them.

I have a feeling that there have been many 'above the law' shenanigans occurring with the CoG and the NHL.
That's why Goldwater was so prominent in putting the kibosh on many of the former potential deals.

What's depressing is that I can almost guarantee there won't be a 100% conclusive decision made today.
If I were a betting man, I'd lay my money down on the 'Yotes staying put for another season, and another, and another...all the while it loses money.

                            RSE's lawyer:

                            1. Glendale will be a smoking hole if the Coyotes leave.
                            2. Everyone's going to make a ton of cash if the Coyotes stay.
                            3. Yes, we have studies that prove this. No, we're not going to show you.
                            4. But we need that 5-year opt-out clause in case of asteroid strike.
                            5. No, you can't have a 5-year opt-out clause.
                            6. Of course I'm trustworthy. After all, I'm a lawyer!
