Several! Assuming I'm still following hockey by then.

Not just younger folks. I turn 44 next week, and I pretty much peaced out on the NHL this season for the first time since 1980. Make of that what you will.

This is the greatest troll job in hockey history. Bravo.

Lots of buyouts today. Kings buy out Greene (they stole that idea from me), Bolts buy out Carle, Bruins buy out Seidenberg, Oilers buy out Korpikoski, Predators buy out Jackman.

I grew up a baseball fan. My dad loved the game and passed it on to me and my brothers.
We could never afford hockey and my father, who grew up a diehard Habs fan, didn't like what the game resembled in the 70's when we were born. So the game wasn't part of our lives.

But when I turned 12 I caught the hockey bug. That was it. No other sport existed for me.
I was consumed by the sport and would watch any game no matter the teams playing.
But over the past few years, the sport has slowly lost it's shine.
I'm now a much bigger baseball fan than hockey. Something I never would have thought I'd say 10 years ago.

The sport needs sweeping changes. It can start by abandoning all the dogma that consumes it so the game can breath again.
A player with Subban's personality and skill should be internationally known.

Wish the Coyotes had moved to Seattle a couple years ago, then it'd be pretty easy to transition away from the Habs.

Torey Krug 4 year 5.25 per year. A little high would've liked 4-4.5 but what can you do. He's our only good young dman.

Dreger reports that the Ducks and Avs discussed Lindholm for Landeskog, but the Ducks backed away and "want nothing to do with" trading Lindholm.

Yeah I can't see it either especially towards the end when he's being paid less.

Weber will either play out the contract, or (much more likely) he'll get hurt (or "hurt") at some point and be LTIR'd for the last few years of his career.
It'll be interesting but I can see this possibly hurting the Preds, teams in danger of recapture don't usually trade the players (Pronger was once he was buried on LTIR already).

Weber is making at least 6 mil a year through the 21-22 season (and significantly more currently), 22-23 he is only being paid 3 mil, then the following 3 seasons he'll only be making 1 mil each year. I can for sure see him riding it out til 21-22, probably 22-23, but not sure I see him playing out 3 years late in his career for 1 mil each. Also if he were on the Preds I'm sure they'd be working hard to find a way to bury him on LTIR to avoid the recapture but the Canadiens don't necessarily have the same incentive, they could just push him to retire if he doesn't want to play given they aren't penalized and if Subban and the Preds have a successful marriage and Montreal lost the trade why not be petty and stick it to them? (Well I guess that would burn a bridge as far as being future trade partners so there is that)

Even if they get hit with a recapture penalty this is still a great move by the Preds but I won't be surprised if this is one of the first times the recapture penalty actually hits a team.

So Montreal, who just traded Subban because of "issues" signs Alex Radulov? OK then!

This report can't be real, right?

He still has to sign Mikael Samuelson, Danny Cleary and Maltby. The Detroit free agent frenzy is far from over!

I hope there's enough left over for Brad Richards and a super-extension for Mike Green.
