Had my first extra time win and it was quite the game. I was the Chiefs vs Highlanders in a 12th week fixture. Down 12-7 with less than 15 remaining, I scored a nice try after getting a scrum inside the 5 and pushing it to the line. Tough angle and I missed the 2 points.

Off the kick off I worked it back into Highlander's 22 and got a high tackle about ten yards outside the 22. With such high wind I opted for the tap, pushed the ball inside the 22 and drop kicked a perfect ball that faded right and scored me a 15-12 win in the 81st minute.

I'm sure as an American I am in the strong minority and I keep getting strange looks when I tell people the game that I've been glued to recently, but this is truly a fantastically fun and enjoyable game and has really spurred an interest in the Super 15 for me.

BTW, my settings are a combination of slider adjustments on Hard difficulty and 20 minute halves.

Still playing this game religiously, much better game than Madden IMO.

I can't emphasize enough how great a sports game this is. It's a shame that more guys here on OS don't give it a go.

If even half of the people here that play Madden, NCAA, 2K12 gave this a shot and tried to understand the great game that is Rugby well...

Sidhe would have an even huger hit and a better chance at a more polished game for next year (assuming/hoping they make another one).

Yeah it really is an awesome game. I was over a buddy's the other night and there was 3 of us taking turns on 1 on 1 games of this and the winner kept playing and we were having some truly fun contests and having a blast.

It was funny because I then went home and one of buddy's was staying at our place that night so we fired up the 'other game' demo that I had on my ps3 and my buddy hadn't played that and he was like "are they serious!? this looks and plays like crap compared to Rugby Challenge".

Single and Heavy Bindings?

Can anyone explain this mechanic to me? Am I supposed to just chose one? or keep tapping the Single or Heavy bind button repeatedly until I win?

One more question... is the the steam version already patched?

I'm still having trouble finding this game at retail stores in my area, even Gamestop. I may have to order it online. I really want to play some RUGBY!

Wow, I mean I know most places don't carry many copies (the two Gamestop's closest to me have one copy each hehe). But you would think there was a Gamestop somewhere near you that at least has one copy.

Just picked this game up on PS3 for $54 along with International Cricket 2010 on Amazon.

Being from Missouri, I'm not a huge fan of either sport, but certainly intrigued by both. Luckily I somehow picked up basic rules for both sports and they seem like great fun.

I would have bought the Rugby World Cup game if it wasn't still $50, due to it being easily accessible on PSN. I held off and after reading reviews of both games, I think I made the wise choice.

It's really not their fault. Americans are greatly influenced by the media, look at what happened when ESPN started to cover soccer more often. I think that if ESPN would show a little more respect to the sports other than football, basketball, and baseball, people wouldn't be so ignorant to the rest of the sports (hockey, rugby, soccer, cricket).

I tell you, Rugby is starting to gain a foothold in America though. College students are especially interested because their schools are starting teams and all the foreign students are showing them how cool it is.

Actually, my school picked up a team. One day my friends and I were walking by the football field, on which the football team was practicing. Unbeknownst to me, the women's rugby team was sharing the field with them. One of my friends said, "Hey, look. The women's rugby team." I thought he was calling the football team the women's rugby team. I told him that was a great joke.

A good format for them to continue to introduce the sport to newer audiences is the USA 7's Collegiate Rugby Championship.

Sure it's only 7's and not proper Union but there are more try's usually, and the game of 7's is a bit more exciting to most novice fans.

This year they are having it in Philly.

Colleges have fielded proper Rugby Union squads forever seemingly. But other than powerhouses where Rugby is truly loved like Cal, a lot of people still don't know about it.

College rugby is an awesome experience. Been playing for a year (yes I have had to "shoot the boot") and it has been the best choice of my college life.

But anyway, I think I might get this bad used down the road. I've played and it's definitely the best rugby game out there now.
