    Re: Rugby Challenge

Having a great time with this game. I had some beginners luck the first few games and tried to start on normal but then was getting my butt kicked. I ended up playing a season on easy with the Waratahs in the Super 15. I ended up losing a crazy final to the Crusaders. I was down by like 3 or 4 in bonus time and was in the goal but my guy couldn't touch the ball down. I got pushed out or something.

I bumped back up to normal for season 2 and won every game so far (1/2 way done) except another tight game to the Crusaders where they scored on a turnover right at the 80 minute mark. I think both games against the Crusaders ended up 17-14. It looks like we might be gearing up for a rematch in the finals this season. I didn't really have a clue what team or league to pick. I just pretty much picked one at random.
    MLB the Show - Cubs
    2015: 80-82
2016: 96-66 - Lost Game 7 of WS (18 innings to Red Sox)
2017: 93-69 - Swept by Red Sox in World Series
2018: 100-62 - Swept by Dodgers in NLCS
    2019: 14-11

Out of interest, how many of you have Vitas and plan to get it for that platform when it comes out?

I am definately enjoying the game tons. I have started watching Rugby and even the wife is into it now even though she says that our children will NEVER play it. She likes watching others play it though.

If I had a Vita I would buy it for sure. I want one but I don't want to spend $250-300 on a hand held anything. I will wait until the hype dies down along with the price.

May sound crazy, but rugby is safer than football.

I'd like to get a read from the group on the game's "replayability", or longevity in your gaming habits. I've read great things about the game, but I have also seen some comments that after playing the game only a few times, it becomes stale and just starts to collect dust on the shelf.

I'm excited to get a rugby game, but I don't want to spend $60 on something that I will just shelve in a couple weeks.

                Thanks all.

                  Here's my take:

It is a solid game and extremely fun to play. If you never have seen a match before, that's not a big deal because all of the game's more complicated have been left out and there is a tutorial explaining the basic rules of the game.

oh this would be perfect for me to slowly understanding Rugby....I love my Vita because I can get in quick games of Fifa and sometimes The Show (but never in one sitting, but I can pause it and continue later).

So I have always been curious about Rugby, watched a few matches...and also for AFL? (Field is HUUUUGE O_o) I know they have their differences. But I just love how passionate the fans are of this sport.

but yeah a Vita version would be a great entry way for me to be able to fit in this game into my catalog.

Re: RUGBY CHALLENGE COMING TO PLAYSTATION® VITA

Finally managed to get this on the PS3!

Boy what an awesome game this is!

I have watched a few rugby games in my life and played a bit in college and Sidhe has made a very good rendition of the sport.

Well done Milla and team, I love all the stadiums, all the teams, I would love to see a little better netcoding on the server side but overall well done.

I had been forced to play that other rugby title simply because I couldn't find this title in the States (finally got it here in South Africa) and you guys honestly put that release to shame!

For the next game (I know there will be one soon enough!), please have a better distribution/logistics system, you guys deserve a lot more attention for all the work you put in and I am sure we (at least State side) want to see your title packed in all them shelves!

I do have 2 questions though:

                        1) Whats the best way to win a ruck?
                        2) I understand all the teams have standardized stats online? Whats the reason behind this?

                        Gracie!

                          Re: Rugby Challenge

You should probably check out Tyrone's tips video:

Tyrone is basically the heart and soul of the Rugby Challenge project. He's put together all his advice for new players to come to grips with the game faster. Old hands might find it useful too.

The standardised stats rationale is that if people have better teams than other gamers they aren't really having a fair fight. If all the teams used in ranked matches have the same AI it means the leaderboards are down to gamer skill alone, rather than partially being down to AI. You can play unranked, private matches with the actual team stats though.

I'm not sure if I'll get a Vita but if I do I will 10% buy Rugby Challenge for it.

Also, I love the game and appreciate the work that is put in. Although it's fantastic for a first game, there are a few problems with the game which will hopefully be fixed for the next one Mainly, some gameplay improvments(offloads are still driving me insane), a deeper career mode and player faces which look more like themselves.

Just picked up a new copy of this from Gamestop on my lunch break for $30. Really, really excited to get home tonight and give it a go. I've been watching videos on it for weeks and it looks pretty damn fun.

So fun, that perhaps we could get a little OS league going.

How many people are on 360?
