I bet it was Default mode only, right? I take it that it was the only tournament available today?

it didnt seem to be default mode.
i switched it to the hardest difficulty when i made my guy, and it was different than the demo.

it seemed to be the only tourney available.

Okay, Default mode tournaments don't announce themselves as such. The way you knew for sure that it was Default mode in the last two years was to try to powerboost or control the spin post shot. If you could powerboost or post shot spin, you were playing default. Furthermore, if you're playing Defauly, you'll also have a 30 and 60 foot putter in you bag (not available in Tour Pro).

Are you using Presentation cam or Follow (ball) cam? If you had set up for Presentation cam, it wouldn't let you use that if you were playing the tournament in Default mode, from what I gather. The deal is that you can play a Default mode Daily tournament round as if you were playing Tour (other than the two additional putter ranges). However, you should notice that it's easier to hit the ball straight in Default and the shot results will seem to have more of a predestined result in many cases.

i did set it to Presentation cam, and was wondering why i didnt see anything but the ball cam.

i will go back and try to tinker some more

on the demo, i did a full swing and it landed where it should. in the tourney each shot, liek say a chip shot, went 50 yards past the cup each time.

Hmmmm... this now makes me wonder if the demo wasn't actually set to "rookie" or "easy" (forgot what it was called last year) if you're seeing that much difference. So you never tried powerboosting or post shot spinning in the tournament round today?

no, i didn't try those.

i was blowing thru it since i only had till 1 o clock to use the tv. i used the same technique as the demo.

but it was crazy hard.

i was 30 something over par.

i did move the right stick i believe up and down and that changed the overall power the shot could go.
like say i was 40 yards away and my club max power was 80 yards.
i would move it to 40 yards of power, and at times it still went a sailin past the point.

Few questions...

1. How many courses? 16?? No Firestone?!?! That has to be a DL course cuz they had videos during the tourney a few weeks ago...

2. Are there different times of day? Sunrise, Midday, Afternoon, etc??

3. Different weather/temperatures?? Fog? Clouds? Rain?

4. How does the dynamic attributes work? Bad putt, putting goes down? Or is it overall for the round?

It doesn't actually work like that. If you have an 80 yard club, but need to hit to the pin, which is 40 yards away, you actually have to swing the club back only 50% of the way, not move the target indicator to the hole. You said you hadn't played Tiger in a few years, and if memory serves me correctly, putting used to work the way you describe..moving the target arrow to how hard you wanted to putt it, but you just take the club back all the way anyways.

if they added a difficulty level where the putter works like the full swing (draw it back to determine speed distance -- like Links 2004) then I will buy this.

I can not wrap my brain around every previous version of TW where they dumb down the putter for the analog stroke to an aeeow.

Doesn't the stick now alter club angle also? So even if you have a club that hits 80 yards max you can up the angle on the club face and adjust distance there also....

I believe the demo was that way.

I can answer that one dbrandon... you cannot play with one the licensed pros in season mode (tournaments). I have pleaded my case for that with the Executive Producer once again (3rd year in a row)... I don't know, maybe next year :-(

i checked, there are 16 courses, no firestone.

i didnt notice or play enough to notice diff weather/times of day. but certain holes have nice shade from the trees. i know thats probably the way that hole always looked but it still looks nice.

i didnt notice in daily tourney anything mentioning atts going up or down between holes.

i went online to play a game and found someone, he was tiger lol ugh

anyways, all the names last night that were there were wiped off the leaderboard stat listings
back to zero

This isn't going to be good news to most of you, but as I understand it, each course has its own time of day. The times of day will vary among the courses, but each course will be fixed at that time of day forever.

I don't think there will be any "weather" per-say, but you can vary the wind speed, green speed, fairway hardness, and rough for offline rounds. I don't know for sure for online.

Yep, that's because today's Daily was set to Default I swear... I thought we were at least going to get a Tour mode and a Default mode Daily this year!?
