Well i don't think that on the course TW on the PC atleast is a good game.

Off the course with feature and everything I think it's quite poor. EA Sports loves to makes games where the gameplay isn't addicting it's trying to unlock new clothes, modes and frills. I hate this about sports games. Just like every other EA Sports games, the way they make you keep playing it is forcing you to keep unlocking stuff jsut to get to a realistic experience.

What if in Madden, the only way you could play a career mode is to start of with a team of nobodies replacing your favorite team, then you had to keep playing to unlock stuff just to make that team competative. To me that's not how sports games should work. But for the reaction on this board and other boards, it's fine with most of you.

I think you can play tournaments where you play as pro players, but I like the aspect where I start out kinda like in real life, where I'd have to work on my skills to get better. Unlocking stuff doesn't do anything for me overall, but it's a fun game. If you were uber Tiger from the start I think the game would get old fast. Then it'd just be trying to get a hole in one on a par 4 and stuff like that

quick question, where do you up the difficulty on the PC mode...I didn't see it anywhere right off the bat, or is it something that just happens as you move along in the game? Right now in my career I could only take the lowest level lessens, so I'm assuming that when I finish the tournaments I'll move up a difficulty level or something.

If you don't want the challenge of starting with a created player there are plenty of pre set pros you can use with higher attributes. As far as unlocking stuff it's not exact required that you spend money on clothes and goodies and you can just spend it all on those attributes if you wihs. I think the majority find the pro shop to be a welcome addition to the game.

Jrod you know I have asked you this before. Do you ever have fun when playing games, or do you spend the whole time simply trying to find things that are wrong with the games? You just seem like a very angry person. Angry at games, your local SW Etc, EA Sports. Maybe you should take up a different hobby?

Have yet to start anything in my tourney but the way to bump up the difficulty just so you can see how challenging the game can be, is to play a regular round of golf.

When it comes to the golfer select there will be some options.

My recommnedation just so you can see how tough it can get (just hitting a fairway)...

Change to professional tees - Expert setting on the true swing - then go play The Phantom with full wind, high rough and fast greens.

Oh and please use a professional, not a created player using this test. I used Tiger and shot a 120.

I'll try that tonight...Thanks for the tips, I'm interested to see how hard it'll be. I also think that the courses that you start out with (Pebble, Avenal (sp?) and one in hawaii) have pretty big fairways, so once I get to the tougher courses I'll be having more troubles too

                              <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Not the point BD, I mean let's face it, if you can't admit that EA Sports forces you to play it's game but adding extras instead of addictive gameplay than you have no clue about gaming.

A better method to implement isn't forcing experienced gamers and for that matter experienced golf gamers to have to learn how to hit sand shots. Give us a little more credit than that. Not only that but I did the same thing last year. Bascially I had to learn how to golf on the computer. That's good for some but there should be options in games to have us start off at a more experienced point. Second and this is my beef with golf games.

Real golf works the opposite of the way Tiger Woods works. And yes this is partly to make first time games find the game easy in order to keep them playing. But On the early levels you can almost hit anything straight but the ball doesn't go any reasonable distance.

Like I said for NASCAR Thunder, instead of forcing us to be horrible when we first start the game. Let us be decent in the lower ranks of the sports. In this case, let us start out at our difficulty level.

Now BD this is what bothers me, when did I say I hated this game. Did I ever say I hated TW. Or did I say what bothered we and how it could be corrected. That's constructive criticism. Maybe we should all just shut up and say it's great, i love it and nothing needs changing as so many do.
